Mattyboi is solo acoustic artist & Wedding DJ with a talent for knowing what the crowd wants! Whether it’s a laid-back love ballad or a foot stomping rock song, he knows how to keep a crowd captivated and entertained!

Mattyboi breaks his year up, basing himself in 2 locations and is available for bookings at those locations and within the surrounding areas, at the below times.  

Nth Qld: May - October   (Port Douglas)

Sth East Qld: November - April (Sunshine Coast)

Mattyboi does often travel outside these locations for bookings, however any travel outside 1hr driving distance of these locations will incur an additonal travel fee.


With an eclectic list of songs, covering all the best hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and modern, Mattyboi’s setlist ranges from Elvis Presley to Ed Sheeran and everything in between.

Mattyboi offers a range of wedding packages including Ceremony, Canape's/Reception, MC and DJ services. Using a collection of sounds ranging from acoustic guitar, live looping, digital samples, stompbox and vocal harmonies, Mattyboi is a true one-man band with the soundscape of a trio!

Mattyboi was our guitarist, singer and DJ for our wedding in Port Douglas which was a blast of atmosphere because of him! Matty is very talented and has a great passion for his work which shows. He had everyone singing along, tapping their foot and created an awesome surrounding during reception drinks. When it came time for dancing he was a 10/10 DJ also, got involved and made sure everyone was up and dancing! Had nothing but compliments about him the next day. He really created the atmosphere for us and made sure all guests enjoyed themselves. Great guy, couldn't recommend him high enough!

Matt was absolutely AMAZING. We had him play acoustically at our ceremony and reception before switching up to DJ decks later on in the evening. The way he played our ceremony songs was absolutely amazing, he learnt a new song for us and the way he played it was perfect. He read the crowd and played some absolute bangers we all loved. It was a smaller backyard wedding and he had us all up on our feet dancing the night away. ALL our guests raved about how well he played and how perfect he was for our wedding. My one and only regret was missing some of his acoustic set while we were getting photos. Which means we will make sure we recommend him to everyone so we get to be a guest this time or hire him again for party.

Matt went above and beyond for our wedding. All of our guests have raved about the live music Matt provided and just how accomodating he was to all our guests and their requests. I cannot recommend Matt enough. Our wedding day and the atmosphere Matt created would not have been the same without such an amazing Dj. Matt really got the party started towards the end of the night which we loved! We are so grateful, it was a night we’ll never forget.

Matt is an incredibly talented musician, and his voice and guitar makes for very easy listening. His music really helped carry the vibe for our wedding, whether that be pre ceremony, or all the way through to the reception. He ranges from modern pop love songs to old country rock, and everything in between. The DJ aspect was phenomenal! He had the dance floor full the entire evening. He reads and interacts with the crowd very easily and kept playing one hit after the other. So many throwbacks! Matt is the entire package. Very easy to communicate with and very accomodating to requests. He made the music aspect of the wedding absolutely seamless. I can’t thank him enough for providing such a great atmosphere the entire evening, and I would highly recommended him to future couples.

Matt was the best DJ/live entertainment we could have had on our big day!! Matt was super professional but he also knew how to have fun and when to make jokes. He made our night so stress-free and read the vibes so well. We can’t thank you enough. You are a LEGEND!!
