Moving into my 10th year as a wedding DJ specialist, I also bring a lifetime of making music from solo, to full band musician. Together we plan your vision. I have played in bands, and now DJ, so know both sides of the coin.
It depends on the experience you want, the style of music you like, the age range of guests, and your budget.
Nothing beats the sound and raw energy of a great live band. The downside is they can be big $$$$, and songs are limited to their repertoire. At a wedding, couples often have a wide age range of guests. While the band's music may be great for the young guests, it could leave grandma with a headache and nothing to dance to!
They also need breaks, which can interrupt the flow of the night. As DJ, I rarely leave my desk!
I offer a personal, one on one service of live vocal/acoustic guitar music early on to set the mood and connect with guests, plus DJ/MC to party, dance and have FUN, at a competitive price.
A good DJ/MC will listen to you, and deliver the music style your want, with top quality professional sound and lighting. An online music database delivers vast song choice across genres, plus requests on the night. They also read the crowd, playing the right songs to have everyone up dancing, mixing it up, to give all age groups a good time, even grandma!
An experienced DJ/MC will run your reception entertainment to take all the stress out of your night, so you can relax and enjoy!!
