Johanna & Jayden are a Brisbane & Sunshine Coast-based couple and music duo whose sound consists of acoustic, easy-listening material that will leave you wanting more. Both qualified artists with Bachelor of Music degrees, this much loved pair specialise in weddings to provide their clients with a musical backdrop for their special day.

Johanna & Jayden have travelled all distances in order to provide clients with an eclectic selection of repertoire that adds to the atmosphere of celebration, incorporating elements of jazz, folk, soul, blues and pop into their live performances to capture a cheerful and vibrant overtone.

Johanna & Jayden have worked with many Brides & Grooms and have heard time and again that their sound was the perfect addition to their special day. From ceremony, to canapes, to reception, this duo has live music packages to cater to everyone's desires. We are so blessed to have worked with so many wonderful couples over the last 5 years! There really is something to be said about what live music can bring to a wedding, and we couldn't love what we do any more. We're also currently planning our own wedding, so we completely understand how overwhelming it can be to find the perfect "fit" for your day. Johanna & Jayden were the perfect addition to our big day. It really lifted the atmosphere and made our wedding more tailored to us with the music being so perfect to our taste. Music has such a big impact on the mood of your wedding, so we wanted something really special... and were struggling to find it! So when we randomly heard Johanna and Jayden playing at an event, and heard their upbeat acoustic vibe, we knew INSTANTLY that they were exactly what we'd been looking for. Johanna and Jayden truly made our wedding day unique and special. We had so many people comment on them afterwards (including a muso friend, who couldn't stop talking about how great they were, and wanting their contact details!) Their style was perfect for us — capturing the soulfulness and poignancy of the ceremony, then transitioning into a relaxed party vibe for the reception. They were also incredibly sweet, organised and responsive in the lead up to the big day, which was so helpful and made the whole process feel easy and fuss-free. Are there additional fees to have continuous music without breaks?

Hi there,

For our live music services (not just weddings, all of our events, gigs and functions), we quote based on how many sets we will play within the allocated time frame. For example, should someone book us for an event for 3 hours, we would typically play 3 x 45 minute sets. We would quote for the 3 sets we play, inclusive of our breaks. We will always ensure to play some iPod music during our breaks though to keep the momentum going.

By general rule of thumb, if you're looking to book a musician for a considerable amount of time without a break, they may want to charge extra for this service. But totally depends on the individual!

Do musicians charge by the hour?

I am thinking of booking a singer to sing our entrance song only and wondering musicians charge by the hour?I already have a pianist and violinist and feel I would like it if a musician would also play the song.I am based in Adelaide for a winter wedding.

Hi there!

Some musicians may charge by the hour, however we have created packages for our live music services and have had great feedback from our clients in that there's an option to suit everyone's desires, run sheets and budgets. We also offer custom packages to our clients should they want to extend the live music by another hour or two, or skip out on live music throughout the canapés etc.
