About
Hi everyone, i'm Ben & i'm the owner/director of Peninsula Bayside Music. After studying music at uni I was lucky enough to join a couple of bands which took me overseas. While on tour, I met the love of my life. Our wedding was truly amazing, and the best part was having an incredible band which had people on the dance floor the entire night. Since then, i've spent my efforts providing that same experience to brides & grooms on their big day.

FAQ
When booking one of our acts for your wedding, they're there for the night. We understand that every wedding is different, so will work in with your schedule and plan around the formalities in order to make sure our performance times maximise the musical component of the night. We will play as much music as you like while working in with your formalities, ensuring to tailor the set to suit the mood of your wedding.
Yes, we will provide a full PA system & lighting set up in addition to our instruments. All we need is access to power.
Even when we're not playing, we're making sure the music is on point. Whether it be relaxing background music during meals, or DJ party sets during band breaks, we've carefully ceated playlists to suit.
As long as you like! We work in and around your other formalities, and will play as much as you like in order to maximise the night. We love a pumping dance floor as much as you!
We certainly do! Our advice is to ask us well in advance if you'd like the band to learn songs for your wedding. We usually recommend choosing a special song for your bridal dance, goodbye circle or any other formalities you have. We're also happy to learn a favourite or two to stick in our set.
No, all of our acts play 100% live
Our owner/director Ben will work with you in regards to your schedule, song requests, MC duties, venue requirements, or any other items you'd like to discuss in the lead up to your wedding.
Absolutely! Weddings are about love & happiness, and we feel extremely fortunate to be able to play for any couple on their big day.
We base our load in time on when the guests enter the venue, as opposed to when we're playing. It takes roughly 45 minutes for most acts to unload and set up, however, we do like them to arrive 90-120 minutes earlier to make sure they have plenty of time to set up and discuss logistics with the venue.
Yes please. We're not too fussy, but from load in time to leaving time we're usually at a wedding venue for 7-9 hours, so a meal and drinks are always appreciated.
Absolutely not. The price we quote is for the full reception. We'll play as much music as you like, learn song requests, and help with planning along the way.
We certainly do. Don't stress if your wedding isn't local, our acts are happy to travel far & wide.

Each wedding is unique, and should be treated as such.
The main thing about speeches is to make sure they accurately represent what your wedding is about. If you're a light hearted happy couple, make sure to have people that will share some entertaining stories. If your wedding is more serious & traditional, then some more heartfelt speeches might be the best option.
I've seen weddings with only a couple of speeches, and weddings with a whole bunch, some long, some short. There's no right and wrong, as long as it suits what you're about as a couple, and what's important to you on your big day.
