Led by vocalist and pianist Shivon, Ivory & Strings brings together artistry, musical experience and a considered approach to wedding entertainment. Shivon has years of musical study behind her, along with international performance experience with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and P&O. She works closely with you to shape the soundtrack for each stage of your celebration, helping the music feel intentional from the first guest arrival through to the evening.
The Ivory & Strings sound takes inspiration from Old Hollywood jazz alongside modern influences, with piano, guitar, strings and ambient vocals creating plenty of flexibility for different moments. You might begin with understated ceremony music, continue with relaxed live performances over cocktails, then bring more energy into your reception. Rather than treating each performance as a separate feature, the music is designed to create a natural flow throughout your celebration.

Hi, I’m Shivon — singer, pianist, guitarist and the face behind Ivory & Strings. After years performing on cruise ships and in jazz venues across Sydney and Brisbane, I created Ivory & Strings from my love of beautiful live music, romantic strings and, admittedly, all things Bridgerton. I love taking songs you already know and giving them an elegant little twist — creating a soundtrack that feels personal, timeless and completely you. 🖤

Absolutely. We love making the music feel personal to you. You’re welcome to choose favourites from our repertoire or request something special that isn’t already on our list. Custom arrangements can also be created for selected songs.
Yes — it’s one of our favourite things to do! We love reimagining familiar contemporary songs with piano and strings for that romantic, modern-classic feel. If you love all things Bridgerton, you’ll feel very at home here.
Yes. We can arrange background music between live sets so the atmosphere continues while the musicians take their scheduled breaks.
As soon as you have your date and venue confirmed is ideal, particularly for popular wedding dates. That said, it’s always worth getting in touch for last-minute celebrations — if we’re available, we’d love to hear from you.
Yes. We’ll organise the equipment required for your chosen ensemble so you don’t need to worry about the technical side. If your venue has particular requirements, we’re also happy to liaise with them ahead of the day.
Absolutely — you don’t need to have every song figured out before you enquire! We can help you choose music that suits your style, venue and the atmosphere you’d like to create.
Absolutely. We perform across Brisbane and surrounding regions and are happy to travel further for your celebration. Additional travel fees may apply depending on the location.
We don’t believe wedding music needs to come in a one-size-fits-all package. We love building the music around you — from the songs you choose to the musicians who play them. Think familiar favourites, beautiful arrangements, romantic strings and ensembles that can grow with your celebration.
