At Talvi - Wedding Ring Workshop, the experience unfolds across two sessions. During the first, which takes around four hours, Asha guides you through the lost wax process. You will carve your rings from wax, exploring fingerprint impressions, hand-scribed details, organic textures and simple, minimal forms. Your designs are then sent to professional jewellery casters in Melbourne and transformed into your chosen precious metal. The sessions are usually held around two weeks apart, subject to casting schedules.

When you return for the second session, which takes around two hours, you can file, sand and polish your rings with Asha’s guidance. You can also ask her to complete the finishing before you collect them and check the fit. Talvi offers workshops in 925 silver and 9ct gold, while 14ct and 18ct gold options are individually quoted. Tools, hot drinks, a grazing lunch and desserts are provided, and photographs from the workshop are sent to you as a keepsake.
