Some brides may prefer to do their own makeup but usually this is dependent on their budget and also if they are maybe naturally good at their own makeup and it is quite personal to them.

In my opinion, as a professional it is my job to be able to take this extra stress away from the bride in order to let her really enjoy and indulge in the morning of her wedding day without having to worry about perfecting her look. This can be quite a lot of pressure on the day for most people even if they are good at makeup.

It is a lovely experience and when else is better to get your makeup done professionally to feel like the Princess you've always wanted to be! Especially on your wedding day.

I would highly recommend putting aside some of your budget for a makeup artist. I am trained to do bridal makeup for not only the bride but the bridal party and even the men if they require any touch ups for photographs perhaps.

All you have to do is sit back and relax and let me get you pampered to perfection.

Please do have a look at my work and send through an enquiry if you would like to know more!

Thanks,

Natalia

Hello Bride,

I understand for some brides hiring a professional makeup artist may not be an option budget wise but I think it is definately something you should consider having. Professional makeup artists are trained to use specific techniques & products to suit a clients skin type while also achieveing the look they require, whether that is matte or dewy or maybe a combo. There are alot of foundations on the market that can casue flahback or in simpler terms 'ghost face' where you appear white in your photos & videos. You also need to consider the length of time you will be wearing your makeup and whether it will hold up for up to 12 hours or more. And the weather is also something to consider. I now always apply a waterproof foundation for my clients as this not only covers you for tears but rain. If it very hot there are products that can be applied to help reduce facial sweat too but also ensuring your makeup still looks fresh.

I think it is a real treat to be pampered having your makeup and hair done. Less stress on the bride too knowing someone else can sort that part our for you.

Hi!

It's actually not a bad idea if you're really great at doing it!  If you know what you're doing and have skills and/or training in that area than I say go for it!

I did my own wedding day makeup and so did Princess Kate!  (Not that there's any comparison)

It's just nice to be pampered on your wedding day and sometimes another artist will see you differently and transform you in a way that you absolutely love.  If in doubt, have a trial.

I hope this helps!

Hey hun, its not a bad idea, its just that instead of the bride going through the hassal of doing her own makeup and having that extra stress on her shoulders a makeup artist is trained to assist the bride on her big day by making her feel good about herself and not feel stressed.

This is your very special day and you want it to be perfrect in every lighting, weather and want it there all day and night without fading away.Professional makeup artists have primers, sealants, professiional brushes and all colour palettes that will enhance and make you look very special on this important event. This is the advantage on hiring a makeup artist.

As long as you know what products you need for photos, then if you love how you do your own makeup, then there shouldn't be an issue. But if you can't be pampered for your wedding day, then when can you?!

I am a makeup artist and physically could not do my bridesmaid's makeup. I did not expect to be so overwhelmed by something I literally do every day!

Lucky I have a great makeup team.

A good professionally trained makeup artist will know how to enhance your personal features the best for both your photos and in person.  They should have knowledge and understanding of the relationship between the camera and the products.  Not to mention they use the best quality products for longevity, comfort and photos. Here is a blog to help choose one if you need and one explaining their worth.  https://makeoversaust.com.au/tips-for-brides/6-steps-choose-perfect-makeup-artist    https://makeoversaust.com.au/makeup-tips/worth-of-good-hair-makeup-artist

Depends how well your face usually looks in a photograph but firstly think when you look back your professional photos that you have paid so much money for you would want your whole look to look professional. Also, things like flash back where your face can look white depending on moisturiser that you use...

i would suggest a trial to see, but if trying to save money than I would try cutting from somewhere else .

Having a make up artist apply your make up takes all the stress out of having to do it properly yourself. When we are under pressure we try too hard and usually end up making a mess!

You may also find that you don’t have the professional make up in your bag that will allow you to create the look you are after  to last you all day and night. Can you apply eyelashes yourself? Are you able to blend your foundation and contour your face professionally? Do you know how to make your lipstick last all day and night without the touching?

When you hire a make up artist she will know how to address all these issues so you can just relax and enjoy yourself !
