As an artist who has made up many many Brides, I definitely have tried and tested products I love and use over and over again.

This starts with the skin prep. Your skin needs to be hydtated and smooth to create the perfect base for your Make up to last the distance. When you have a trial I will discuss and recommend facials that would be approciate for your skin so you are going to have the best skin possible on your wedding day. 

On the day I always use a primer which is selected based on your skin type or concerns, and what type of foundaton we are using. Sometimes I will use more than one! ie if you are shinier down the t zone and dry on the cheeks - these would need different skin prep.

Next is the foundation -  I have multiple foundations i use depending on the prefered finish the bride requests and also her skin type. This Includes Dior, giorgio Armani, Nars, Mac. 

When it comes to longevity - I like to layer cream and power products to really lock everything in. For example cream blush or cream contour finished with a powder.

All eye products are either water proof of smudgeproof so you dont need to worry about running mascara!

This is all finished with a Setting powder and setting spray.

The Final step is your touch up kit. After you have your trail - I will send you a list of products you will need to have on you for the day to keep you looking perfect for every photo - this would include thing like oil blotting tissues, lip liner, lip stick, sometimes bobby pins and a comb if a veil is being removed after the cememony.

You don't have to have a make up and hair trial, but this is something I highly recommend for all brides that book with me. Brides want to really stand out on their wedding day, and so they should! Sometimes want to try something different they wouldnt usually wear - like a red lip or an upstyle. The trial is the perfect time to experiment and really see how this would look and if this is going to be the right choice for the wedding day. Its also a great oppourtunity to see if that particular hair style is going work with the brides hair - and do we need to add padding or extentions - possibly a colour of cut before the wedding day to make this look possible?

I always recommend to tie the trial in with an event if possible - so you can take photos and see how everything lasts and if there is any tweaks you'd like to make for the wedding day. This could be as simple as one extra eyelash added or slightly more blush! 

For my brides that choose not to book a trial, there is more communication such as more inspo photos and photos of the bride so we have as much information as possible for the wedding day. I also like to allow more time on the day just in case we need to tweak.

For hair and make up its around 2.5 hours  - sometimes slightly longer if more than one style. 

The cost for the trial is the same price as the wedding day. 

I recommmend a trial anywhere from 1-5 months before the wedding. As long as you have chosen your dress, accesssories and over all theme.
