Mandy Marsh and Jess Akers are the co-owners of IVORY STATE Hair and Makeup. Mandy is a Professional Makeup Artist and bridal specialist with over 22 years experience. Mandy is also a qualified trainer. Jess is a highly experienced Hair Stylist with over 15 years as a qualified hairdresser/stylist and is an up style specialist. Both live locally to the Hunter Valley vineyards and created IVORY STATE because of their shared passion for all things weddings and working together.

I was blessed to have the lovely Mandy doing make-up and Emma doing hair for myself, bridesmaids and mum. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! These ladies are something special. Not only are they exceptionally good at what they do, they are lovely women who are so passionate about making their clients feel and look amazing. As all brides do with a tight budget, I did my research and I know that I made the right decision with Ivory State Hair and Makeup. They were worth every cent and more!

Mandy, Jess and the whole Ivory crew are true experts in what they do and would not have trusted anyone else for job. They made us feel completely at ease, especially on the morning of where the vibe was just so chilled! And results? Exactly what we were after -- still us, but elevated versions. But even in the lead up of the big day, they were always so responsive to the 10,000 questions we threw at them, as well as supportive and extremely organised. They're true perfectionists and I cannot recommend Ivory State more highly!

Mandy and Bree were amazing, I can't recommend them too highly. From the beginning contact Mandy was very informative and easy to deal with. She also gave great advice on skin and hair prep prior to the wedding. We had a last minute change the day before on timings and it was dealt with so quickly with no issue at all. Mandy also was very considerate and aware of each person's styles, and catered particularly to those who were unused to wearing much makeup and more senior styles. Bree was super quick and the hair looked great as well. Both make up and hair was just what we wanted and they finished well before schedule without us feeling rushed at all. It was so easy and chilled out. I would recommend Mandy and Bree to any bride.
