When should I have my trial?

The trial can be anytime up to a month prior to the wedding. ( it’s good to have your dress and accessories to ensure you are happy with the look you’ve chosen, and you can wear the style home to try on with the dress)

Do you come to us for the Trial?

We come to you on the day of the wedding, for 4 or more people, hair and makeup. The bride comes to our studio for the trial.

How long does it take on the wedding day?

We like to have you finished 2-2 1/2 hours before the ceremony. This gives you time to have a light lunch, get dressed and have photos before the ceremony.

How do I prepare my hair and skin for my wedding day?

Drink lots of water all week to help make your skin glow. If you colour your hair, Have your final colour touch up a few days before ( so there’s no regrowth ) and no colour on the scalp.

Should my hair bye freshly washed on the wedding day?

Yes it’s great to have it washed, and dry ( no straightening iron, as this is difficult to re-curl )

I booked Brides With Style for hair and makeup for my elopement just over a month before my day! It was just my mum and I so we went to the salon for the appointment. The whole process from sending an inquiry to the day of was very smooth. Maree kept things so organised. The salon was a very calm and relaxing vibe. And best of all both my mum and I were very happy with our hair (done by Maree) and makeup (done by Shannon). I definitely would recommend Brides With Style!

Sophie and Maree were absolutely amazing. They showed up on time and happy despite a very early 4.30am start time, put us all at ease straight away, and worked efficiently, finishing with plenty of time. I recently had Brides with Style do my bridal hair and make up as well for my bridesmaids. From my trial to the wedding day. Bree & Karin were amazing! The make up I asked Karin for is exactly what I wanted a nice natural look and it turned out amazing! Wish I could do it like that everyday! Bree tried a couple of different hairstyles for my trial and the one I chose couldn't have turned out better for my wedding day. The ladies are beautiful and make the day suer fun! The are so very professional and do exactly what you ask for - I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Should I wash my hair on my wedding morning?

Good morning,

Great question.

This really depends on your hair type, (and obviously timing of wedding on the day)

If it’s a super early start then the previous night is better.

However if you have fine hair I suggest the morning of the wedding and if thicker/not oily or curly hair can be done the previous day.

These guidelines apply to traditional wedding styles rather than blow waves. If you're having a blow wave, it's best to speak directly with our stylist during your trial to find out what will work best for you.

At your trial, we suggest you prepare your hair as you would on the wedding day.

Generally it is only the bride who has a trial. However it's up to each individual person.

When should I cut and colour my hair before the wedding?

Brides with Style

I recommend having your hair coloured and trimmed the week of the wedding.

For those who lighten/ foil their hair, preferably colour 2 days prior,as this will leave no regrowth .

Or if you add colour with darker shades, colour 3-4 days prior. This will leave the hair still vibrant and shiny ( with no telltale signs on the scalp.
