Longevity is always my focus, I trained across Europe, in countries known for the strongest makeup schools. Clients have swum in the sea in my makeup during a photoshoot, come back the next day still wearing it, and kept it on for two days. (I always recommend removing it before bed, but it shows how well it holds.)
Skin prep. Many artists apply a moisturising primer and call that "prep." I don't. Depending on your skin, I cleanse, often exfoliate, and hydrate in several steps before choosing a primer suited to you and to the look you want. That's the difference between makeup that looks good for an hour and makeup that holds and photographs beautifully all day.
Professional doesn't mean heavy. It can be as soft and natural as your everyday makeup, just more polished and longer-lasting. I always start by talking through what you want before a single product touches your skin, so your look can be anywhere from barely-there to full glam, but always yours and never a mask.
Yes, especially for your wedding. A trial lets you live with the look: try different tones, see how it wears over several hours, and adjust anything before the day. It also means on the wedding morning there are no experiments, we already know exactly what works for you.
Your face isn’t just the centrepiece of your photos, it’s what your guests see up close all day: when they hug you, congratulate you, take selfies with you. But even more important than that is how you feel. Feeling confident and beautiful in your own skin on your wedding day is priceless. Just as it’s normal to invest in a wedding dress, investing in makeup that truly lasts and makes you feel your best is just as important.
While I do work with a lot of luxury, high-end products, the real difference comes down to technique. Uneven foundation, patchy blending, or messy edges will make even the most expensive makeup look cheap. Clean application, seamless blending, smooth lines, and well-placed accents, that’s what gives makeup that polished, expensive look, no matter how bold or subtle it is.
Yes, I do hair as well as makeup, and there's no such thing as "too many people." For a large bridal party I bring a team of assistants so everyone is ready on time. Just let me know in advance so I can arrange the right number of artists.
