Mel Peach is a qualified experienced bridal makeup artist who has a passion for making her brides feel beautiful, confident and comfortable.
Mel's professionalism, attention to detail and calming nature makes her an asset to any special occasion or wedding day.
She specialises in bridal, formal and special event makeup and loves working with her clients to create a look that makes them feel both beautiful and comfortable at the same time. While Mel is known as a more natural artist she can provide a "glam" look for any occasion.
Mel only uses high quality products on her clients such as Tarte, Harlotte Cosmetics, Inglot, Too faced and Urban Decay to name a few.
While Mel is primarily a makeup artist she can also provide simple hair styling services too for individuals or small bridal parties on request.
Mel provides a home studio service for trials and individual clients but is completely mobile on your special day to provide a quality stress free service within the comfort of your own home or accommodation. She does also travel outside of the Canberra region upon request.

I have always loved makeup and had a passion to learn more. This passion turned into studying and completing my Diploma in Specialist Makeup services in 2015. Whilst studying I started my small business and am now going into my seventh year of operation. I have had the honour of doing hundreds of bridal parties over the years. I thoroughly enjoy working with other wedding suppliers and meeting new people.

This is a comment I hear more often than not and I can totally relate too, having sensitive skin myself.
There are many ways to work with senstive skin, all my products are of high quality and to date I have not had anyone react to them, however, to ease any concern, I am more than happy to undertake a test behind the back of your ear on your trial to double check if there is any reactions.
Always make sure you advise your artist if you have an known allergies or senstive skin.
No you don't need to have a makeup trial, the option to have a trial is totally your choice.
However, a trial can be very beneficial as it allows you to meet with your artist and go through makeup styles or ideas you have. It also allows you to wear the makeup and see if you are happy with the look or want to make changes for the day.
I generally ask for about and hour and half to be put aside for trials, this allows us to meet, chat about colours/styles, what skin type you are, if you have any concerns and then for me to apply the make up.
About 95% of my brides have trials.
Timing is something we will touch on when booking then discuss more at your trial.
Start times may vary wthin reason depending on the schedule and how many ladies you have in your bridal party but you'll be completed in plenty of time in a relaxed environment. It takes approx 45 mins each lady and generally an hour for the bride, as I like to allow a bit more time to pamper her.

My brides are always pleased on the day to recieve their complimentary touch up kit that includes their lip colour, lip brush, blotting paper, tissues, lash glue and some cotton tips to keep them looking fresh all day.
The eye makeup I use will remain intact as waterproof products and an eyeshadow primer are used. I also use products that will stay put with minimal touch ups and that will look beautiful on camera.
I require a 20% deposit to secure all bookings. Once your deposit has been recieved you will be notified via email and a confirmation on your booking will be advised.
The remaining balance is due in full a week before your special day. Paying in advance allows you to have a stress free day and not have to worry about having cash available on the day.
You are also welcome to pay your booking off in instalments, just let me know and I am happy to work something out with you.
