How much budget to allocate to flowers for the reception?

Im just wondering what the average cost is? We will be holding 2 receptions in different countries so trying to be budget conscious but also don't want to be tight! price per table plus a centre piece? simple/rustic style.

You would have to talk to your florist and stylist to get a quote. We offer bespoke or customised wedding floral and decor hence the price varies. There are many variables needing to be considered in our quote. Just to name a few of these variables for your understanding:

* the mechanics involved in each design

* the structure of your venue,

* logistics,

* material & labour cost

* setup, pack-down fee.

And ofcourse what you want as well - the quantity & style of each item you need.

So yeah it’s very hard to give you a number without knowing what you want and the other variables which will affect the quote.

Hello Amy,

As you are holding 2 receptions in different countries you have a lot to consider with the budget.  Take into consideration the venue everything will have to be in scale to suite.  Would be worth getting advise from a wedding designer  / florist and discuss your likes and dislikes first.  She / he will be able to give you ideas and approximate costs involved.  I meet with the bride and groom to ensure everything (flowers and costs) are to their liking.

Hope this is of help.

Hi Amy

This would depend on the number of guest tables and size of arrangements, I would allow for $80.00 per arrangement ( this could include a glass vessel)

Dear Amy

I would recomend discussion with your florist in detail with the reception plan in your hands with all drawn up flower requirements and measurements of the tables etc for good time management and officient business (that may save you some money and time).

Provide photos of the reception (but florist may want to visit the location it self to asses ease or difficulty if she/he has not worked at that particular reception it self) or decoration you wish to use, any vases you wish to utilise bring on the apointment with you. It will all help with the costing to be spot on.

So with all that said $$$ will depend on you and florist coming up together with what can be done for you with your budget in mind and you getting the best possible design.

Reception you booked can give you guide as what they charge for flowers if they have florist that they usualy recomend.

With best wishes

Hi Amy,

Wow ! Double celebration ! I always advise that you have a budget that you are comfortable to spend on florals and be upfront with your florist about what your upper limit is. By the same token, the florist can show you what the difference of a $30.00 arrangement vs a $100 arrangement. You can then decide based on what is realistic for you . Florals are there to add the the ambience seamlessly and not to overpower your celebration . Good luck with your wedding ! - Leafandblossom-

Hi Amy!

The cost will greatly depend on the flower varieties you choose and the style. With that said, there are definately many ways you can achieve that rustic/simple style in your centerpieces without spending too much.

Larger arrangements would cost anywhen from $70 and upwards, depending on the design and flowers used.

Smaller centerpiece arrangements can cost anywhere from $35 - $60. Hope this helps!

A good guide is approx 5-10% of your budget. You can certainly do something small for $30 (use secondhand jars) and go up to as much as youd like to spend! $60 - $100 would get you something stunning.

Hello, it depends on the style and how extravagant yo want your wedding to be. You could get a nice vase arrangement starting at $60 +. A good way to not make it seem so expensive it to allocate in your budget as a cost per head ( the same way you cost your food). If you break it down this way  it can be around $ 6 + per head on top of the food and beverage cost.
