We use a range of techniques to keep our flowers fresh:

  • sourcing locally grown, fresh flowers is number one! We are so lucky to have so many amazing flower farms in Victoria
  • Refrigeration (keeping them in a cold dark place increases the lifespan of the flowers)
  • Trimming the stems and replacing water daily
  • Regularly cleaning our storage vessels
  • Remove all the leaves at the bottom of the stems
  • avoid over handling fragile flowers eg. orchids, roses, hydrangeas as they bruise easily

Firstly only select fresh flowers from growers &/or direct from the fresh flower markets,

Always clip the end of stems as the stems dry very quickly & cannot absorbe water if stems are dry.

Do not allow leaves to be in water as this causes algie.

Change water regularly.

It is very important to use cleaned containers.

Hi there, our flowers do not cause any reason for concern  as we use quality silk & artificial flowers. This was definitely a factor in our decision to work with these flowers. It is difficult to keep fresh flowers looking fresh. Our flowers look incredibly realistic and do not cause any allergic reactions for brides who have pollen reactions. Happy to assist in anyway to take the worry out of your question. Regards, Lyndall

To keep flowers fresh, strip most of the foliage, snip the end of the stems, take out of plastic wrap and put  the flowers in a  (flower fridge).
