Hi,
Choosing colours for your wedding can be based on different things.
When you choose remember there are so many colours that can compliment and so many colours that can be used in a theme. Chat with your florist who can assist you with the colour palette of your choice.
It's depend on what theme or preferences you have. Wedding is a special occassion which you will always remember. You can look at the current trends and styles. if you are not sure what you really want, then I would suggest you to look at wedding magazines and pinterest to create your mood board.
Choosing your colour scheme is a personal decision.
Some brides make their decision based on a favourite colour or colours and run with that for the entire wedding.
Others will choose by theme or even what is fashionable at the time.
Picking the dresses first will help confirm the style of wedding then the colour scheme.
Florists see many weddings and all sorts of colour combinations.
Trust your florist to help you with options and ultimately to help you decide!
You would normally start with the colour of your bridesmaids dresses, and select flower colours to complement or contrast with these. For example lavender dresses look pretty with pastel flowers in hues of lavender, pink and white. Blue dresses are complemented by white, & pink flowers with a few hints of blue such as delphiniums in The bouquets. Of course the brides bouquet can be similar or different. I hope this helps.
Hi!
My best advice to you is too choose all your main elements first and then work from there to create a palette of colours that you love and that compliment each other for your flowers and other little bits and bobs.
For example if you choose pink bridesmaid dresses you can use different / similar shades of pink to compliment and stand out from the dress and then you could add in complementary colours like white and green .
For deciding on dress colours or general theme colours I love to look on pinterest and get inspiration!
Otherwise start basic and eliminate colours you don't like/want until you are left with a few to choose from.
You could also start with your venue and try to find colours that would match to that style. For example if you were having an autumn/ winter wedding in a barn or farm you might lean towards warmer rich deep red-y tones. ( not always but just an example)
hope this helps x

Hi, there are so many shades of any one colour it can be difficult to decide. If I could suggest starting with your favourite colour perhaps as the main colour and then adding other shades or colours to compliment your dresses. It is easier to get your dresses first before thinking of flowers. If I can advise in anyway to make it easier for you or make a suggestion don’t hesitate to contact me. Have a lovely day. Regards, Lyndall
