FAQ
The amount you choose to spend on wedding flowers is up to you! A general guideline is to allocate 10-15% of your overall wedding budget towards your flowers, but if you want florals to be a significant component of the experience, we recommend allocating closer to 25-30% of your total budget to flowers.
Florists come from different backgrounds, skill sets and experiences and often have varying opinions about the quantity of flowers needed to bring a design to life, the overall cost, the labour demands and what is required after you sign the contract. Finding the lowest-priced florist is not always a win as you may also be committing to lower commitment and fewer florals. We recommend always doing your research before engaging a florist and looking at examples of their previous work to make sure their style and approach align with yours.
We have a minimum spend in place to gurantee the highest quality of blooms and designs for your wedding day. This allows us to carefully curate each arrangement and create bespoke designs that truly reflect your vision. By investing in our services, you can trust that every aspect of your floral needs will be expertly taken care of with attention to detail and sustainable practices at the forefront of everything we do.
Most of our couples choose a floral investment between $5,000-$7,500 on their wedding flowers. Your final spend is ultimately up to you. We offer options that cater to various budgets, to ensure you can have the wedding flowers of your dreams without breaking the bank. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with your investment decision.
It's important to keep in mind that your investment is not just for the flowers. Your floral investment also includes creative support, travel expenses to your venue, set-up fees, and the time and labour involved in creating and arranging each piece. We outline all costs in your floral quote.
Floral labour is the physical labour involved in sourcing and creating arrangements. It also includes behind-the-scenes labour such as customising your floral design plan, remaining available for changes and questions until your wedding day, sourcing and processing blooms the week of your event, and composing designs on your wedding day. For full-service weddings, it also includes returning to collect remaining florals from the venue at the end of the night.
Yes, we are at the mercy of Mother Nature and weather conditions have a significant impact on the availability of flowers. For example, Peonies are available for a few weeks in mid-spring (most often November). Specific availability often changes from year to year.

Get Expert AdviceIs January a hard date for flowers to be supplied for a wedding?
Hello! My partner & I are getting married in Byron Bay and hoping for 11 Jan 2025. We have been told my a florist that flowers around that time are hard to get as wholesalers close normally until 14 January. We are wondering whether we should change our wedding date because we’d love to have some gorgeous flowers for the day and not a limited supply and ones that doesn’t match our colours & make us feel fab. I am not particular about type of flowers more style of bouquet and colours. The florist we have spoken to can’t really tell us either way if anything will be available and we feel is more focused on booking us than helping us be realistic. Your advice is appreciated!

Hi lovely,
Sorry to hear you are having a bit of a frustrating experience. I can't speak on behalf of your florist but I think ultimately the vagueness/lack of clarity you're experiencing is due to two factors: (1) their supplier relationships, and (2) managing your expecations. I've brainstormed some possible explanations on these for you below, I hope this helps!
Supplier Relationships
Managing Expectations
I am so sure that your florist wants to create beautiful arrangements for your special day. It sounds like it might just be a communication thing. I hope this has provided some clarity for you both and wishing you the best with your wedding planning!
Warmly,
Sofie
