We source all of our flowers from our selection of local wedding flower growers and international bridal flower suppliers, with each flower hand-picked by the owner, so that only the freshest flowers are used in your arrangements.

Yes at Blackwood Florist we deliver and set up Weddings to all suburbs in Adelaide and the surrounding areas. We also deliver the bridal flowers to where you are getting ready and can also take buttonholes etc to the Groom and his address to save you from worry.
We have an extenisve range of glassware, lanterns, birdcages and other decorative items that you can hire to help with overall costs when planning your special day.

How do I preserve my own bouquet?

Hi,
Depending on which state you are in there are professional companies that can preserve your bouquet and they have the techniques to help retain the colours of your flowers. However if you wish to preserve your own you will need to hang your bouquet upside down to help the flowers dry straight. Keep it in a dry, sheltered spot away from mositure and draughts for several weeks. Good luck!

One of the most important reasons not to do your own wedding flowers is that you have enough to do and should just enjoy the day! The flowers can be a lot of work depending on what style and look you are after and there is always the possiblilty of stock not being available at the time of the wedding or needing to change things to suit the weather or other factors that might not be thought of until the day arrives. At Blackwood Florist we take the stress out of the day. We can help you design the look you want and work to your budget and provide a fun, easy and smooth process right up to and on the big day. Hi, it is a good idea to organise 6 months prior to your wedding although there are some very popular months that get booked up early so even 12 months can be good. The nyou have some time to make small changes if needed. I usually ask that all changes have been finalised a month prior to your date. Hope this gives you a bit of an idea !
