As a fellow short person I feel your pain!! I find that if you go for a design that has the same fabric all the way through (either all lace or all plain silks) this really helps to elongate yor body and not cut you off and make you feel shorter. I also find that simpler designs with more delicate laces are often better so you are not swamped by the gown, it is easy to get lost in a gown if you are more petite. Feel free to contact me if you need any further help with a wedding dress.
Hi!
There are so many different body shapes out there and every different shape is beautiful. I always suggest to brides that a perfectly fitted gown flatters your figure the best and most comfortable way. A couture or custom gown is made to your measurements with your body shape in mind from the start. To create the illusion of height I would design a gown that "flows" from head to toe - meaning there is none or limited changes in fabric on the vertical axis of a dress.
hope this helps!

Hi, it also depends on the type of body shape you have (e.g. pear shape, apple shape, triangle etc). But empire waist would suit most body shapes.

Well, i have the same prolem and totally understand you question.
First of all i would say it also depends on your body shape. Everyone have different shape, i would recommend you to try as much dresses as you can to get to know your body in different style of dresses, you might really surprise your self. Just my self i wouldnt go something too big and too puffy. Maybe Fit and Flare, Simple Aline and Sheath style. Hope ithis helps.
