As all of our gowns are custom made, we don't charge for alterations, each of our brides will have four or five fittings before picking up their wedding dress. When we provide a quote for a custom made wedding dress it is all-inclusive so there are no nasty hidden costs. I believe that when you purchase a gown 'off-the-rack', you can expect to pay anywhere between $750 to $1500 in alterations. It's a lot of money if it hasn't been factored into the price of the gown you purchased.

It depends, at V. SOUZ I do not change for alterations on a custom gown it has 1 dress alteration if ordered in Sydney. I would suggest you allowing $1000 for alterations but again it all depends if is just the fit , or hem, basic or complicated alterations.

It really depends on whether you are planning to lose a lot of weight before you big day or if you are gong to make changes to the dress you choose.  At ETERNAL WEDDINGS our alterations begin at $200.  The average amount brides wpend with us for their alterations are about the $700
