Alterations need to start 6 weeks before the fuction date.
Wedding gowns take 5-6 months, we reccomend to order your wedding dress 9 months before your wedding to cater for any delays that may occur.
Bridesmaid gowns take 4-5 months, we reccomend to order your wedding dress 8 months before your wedding to cater for any delays that may occur.
Yes, we prefer to go by appointments. So, that we can give each customer our full attention.
Yes, we do both.
You still book 6 weeks before your wedding day and our alterationist will work with you every step of the way to cater for your weight loss, avoiding extra costs.

We will help you to select, fit and adorn your gown for your special day. Whether it be for your Wedding, Debutante Ball or just a special night out.
With the help of our many suppliers, Wedding Promises provides a substantial range of colours and styles of gowns, all between the sizes of 4 - 36. Also available in-store is our range of flower girl, page boy, communion, confirmation, christening, mother of the bride, after five wear and cocktail gowns.
In addition, we also provide a large range of Bridal Accessories, Professional Alteration and Cleaning service, to ensure your day is perfect.

Where do a find a hoop/petticoat to go under my wedding dress?

Hi, Wedding Promises have hoops for hire starting from $55 to $95 plus $40 Bond. If you would like to try a hoop with your gown on just ring the store to make an appoiintment. We recommend to try the hoop with your gown so you know you have the right size.

At Wedding Promises we book your fitting approx 6 to 8 weeks before your wedding day. At your first fitting we ask that you bring your shoes and undergarments that you will be wearing on your wedding day. Usually next fitting will be final but if you are on a diet and dropping in size we work with you till a week before the wedding to make sure it is fitting perfect on your day. So you may have 2 or 3 fittings. If you would like to ask any questions just contact us on 97466898.
