I can't decide how to decorate my reception venue, my theme is navy and peach.

I like Lily's as my flowers and really like beach themed decorations as well.

Hi Sonya,

My recommendations would be similar to those that have already answered. I would recommend have a navy sash for your chairs and navy table runner, you could then incorporate peach roses with your white lilies in an arrangement on a mirror base and have scattered shells on the mirrored base instead of scattered diamante, finished off with a few tealights.

All the best for planning your day!

Hi Sonya

You need to think about what your "style" is & what look is you. Are you light & soft or do you like a bit of colour. For example - Navy is a great strong colour but it may be too heavy for the look you want to do with sashes & overlays. Have a look at some black & white theme photos (navy is lighter but still the same strength of colouring). You can pick up the peach with the centerpiece. If they feel too heavy for you & prefer the look of a lighter beachy theme go more with the peach/ champagne colours, white or peach centerpieces pick up the navy with name tags & other bits & pieces. It's the same with centerpieces - most people either like tall centerpieces or short centerpieces, I have never had a couple really like both. Hope this helps.

Hi Sonya, I can't help you because I'm in Melbourne however you can do submerged lillies in tall cylinder vases which would look beautiful. Perhaps with blue stones in the bottom of the vases to hold the lillies in place. Place them on a 40cm mirror with some pretty tealights around them, and perhaps a floating candle above the lilly. Hope this has helped you. www.eventperfection.com.au

Hi Sonya,

I have recently styled a wedding with a a similar colour combination which was purple and yellow, I used purple table overlays which straight away made the reception setting look more classy and yellow roses for centrepieces which stood out great on the dark purple colour of the tables. With the uplighting and lots of candles on the tables it looked fantastic! You could try this by using navy table overlays and peach flowers with some lilies, add some shells scattered around the vases for the centrepieces. All the best for your big day:)

Hey Sonya,

A theme that we have been wanting to try for a long time is layered wall draping in the colours of champagne and navy with a mix of champagne and navy lanterns. The colours would tie in with your theme and the lanterns would soften the classy look with a more beach/party undertone.

I've never seen it done yet, but perhaps something to look out for. Best of luck with your wedding! :)
