Can we bring in our own caterers?

My fiancé and I are wanting to bring in our own catering people in but don't know how to go about it. We are wanting a beach wedding.

Yes we are very experienced with off-premises weddings.

You will need to contact the local council for a list of options that the council may approve for outdoor loactions.

Obviously, you will need the anfrastructure (marquee, power, vehicle access etc.)

We would be happy to assist

Hi

There are venues positioned right on or next to a beach. It will make it easier to have the wedding ceremony set up (usually in a grassed area near the beach) and then have the guests at the reception hall. It is important to have the reception hall with an option to have own caterers.  The hall will usually have its own public liability insurance.  The caterers insurance usually covers only the food. It is important that the insurance premium of the hall covers your guests in case of any incident.

Then:

You can select from our wedding packages or speak to our Chef and Co-ordinator to have a customised food and beverage package, tailored to meet your specific requirements.

We provide a number of options when it comes to wine or cocktail beverages on our Sample Beverage Pack offering 4 tiered packages including champagne, wines, beer, fresh juices and cocktails that can be matched to canapés that are served upon arrival of guests. We also offer an organic & sustainable beverage package. Beverage packages range from 2 to 5 hours depending on your request.

Our menus include both a sit–down sharing option with delicate canapés served on arrival, followed by shared entrees, shared mains and dessert platters which can be served on a styled dessert table or if preferred, we can arrange a decadent wedding cake. The alternate option encompasses cold and hot canapés being served alongside grazing stations which may offer menu items such as cured meats, beetroot marinated salmon, savoury tarts, deboned and rolled chicken galantine and whole glazed leg ham with stunning seasonal roaming desserts to finish.

Food Stations

Food Stations are another fantastic option, catering for a more relaxed and fun approach which are tailor made for your wedding day. Food stations are very popular for weddings as they provide a dimension of theatre to your wedding day. You can choose from our list of hot and cold food station items such as soft tacos, mixed oyster bar, burger bar, antipasti, dessert bar which could gelato themed, chocolate or tropical fruit themed. You may opt for traditional Spanish Paella which is cooked right in front of you and your guests. Or you may have a few ideas of your own. Whatever you decide, we will work with you to execute an occasion that is seamless and flawless

Yes you can ! We are a mobile catering service, and there are others like us. This means we can set-up and serve pretty much anywhere! We bring our food truck along (either to prep and/or serve from). This is a full kitchen on wheels, with regrigeration etc. So it's easy-peasy.

Cheers,

Hello Jess

Normally if you are holding a wedding in a public place it is always advisable to obtain permission from the local council that way you wont experience any problems on the big day.

If we are asked to cater in a public place then we always ask for council approval as it wouldnt be professional not to

Have a plan B incase its windy or raining as potentially this could spoil your day

Another option is a surf club which are usually on the beach giving you the option to have the ceremony, canapes and photos by the beach and retreat to the surf club for main and the remaining evening.  They often also have balconies to look out over the beach

Surf clubs mostly allow you to bring in your own caterers and at least the caterer would have a kitchen to cook from

If you have the surf club secured and the weather is bad you then have a plan B for the ceremony, canapes and photos

Regards

Louise

Hi Jess, You will need to do a little research in to what you can and cannot do. Permits will need to be considered but we would love for you to contact us for our new menus. They would actually be perfect for a beach event :)

There are many considerations, but many venues wilkl alow you to bring in caterers. We are 'preferred caterers' at several venues including wineries and garden venues. If you are wanting a public venue such as a beach though, you will have to speak to the local council as there may be specific requirements and permits needed. Speak to your caterers who will guide you through the process.

We are happy to be the "beachside" caterer. Please call to progress.

We are also licenced to serve anywhere 24/7. Most caterers DO NOT have this facility.
