We from HLB Catering always have an event manager present at the reception, to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Great question by the way... when planning your event usually the Event Planner will Co-Oridnate the entire event but as a Caterer we will oversee the Dietary needs and ensure they go to the right guest. Check that the service areas are set up for easy and quick service to your guests. No not usually. You will find that some venue's will offer this option but not many catering companies.

A good catering company specialises in providing the food/ beverages for the event and this should be their only focus as there is so much detail and work that goes in to running the Catering for the event. Some caterers will however be able to recommend an event co-ordinator. Just make sure you're doing your due diligence to ensure that the person they recommend isn't just their next door neighbour or mate who needs a bit of extra cash.
