Serving North-East Victoria
We provide catering for parties, weddings or corporate events across north-east Victoria and select areas of southern New South Wales, including Beechworth, Bright, Myrtleford, Mt Beauty and Albury/Wodonga.
Self-Sufficient Set Up
Woodfire Desire is a self-sufficient catering option. We can provide our fresh and delicious wood fired pizzas anywhere there’s car access and room for our marquee (min. 3x5m flat ground required). Power is required for lighting during evening events.
Customised Menus
Whether it’s a wedding, birthday party or work function, our menu will be a hit with any crowd. Specialised dietary requests can be accommodated on request.

About
My husband, Kel, grew up in a household with a passion for cooking. A carpenter by trade, he has always wanted to branch out into something in hospitality. When this mobile wood fired pizza business became available, we knew it was exactly what we were looking for. We have been cooking pizza for people for 6 years now and we still love it. We haven't even grown tired of eating the pizza ourselves! We love all the different locations this job takes us to, and the many people we meet.

Help me decide pls! I suppose I'm torn with the sit-down dinner as I don't want to create too much separation.

As pizza caterers, we have provided both sit-down dinners and cocktail style dinners.
Cocktail style is definitely much more laid back and relaxed. People eat more, as they are grazing. They can mingle while they eat. And there's usually a variety of things to choose from, not just what is placed on the table infront of you.
We have been at weddings where there is still a bridal table, even though there is no formal seating arrangement for the guests. This works well for speeches.
Weddings that choose the cocktail style, in our opinion as pizza caterers, get the most value for money.

How do caterers handle multiple allergies?
My cousin has a whole host of allergies. How do caterers handle this? Should I ask her if she feels more comfortable bringing her own food?

Here at Woodfire Desire, we communicate with the couple about their guests with dietary requirements. We then ask that the MC include an announcement for those with dietary requirements to come and see us so we can cater for them individually. Fortunately with pizza catering, most dietary requirements are fairly straight forward and easy to cater for.
When does the caterer need finalised choices?

Here at Woodfire Desire, we only need a week, or less! Pizza catering is very straight forward and can be changed last minute if necessary.
We prefer guest numbers a week out from the event, however, changes are understood and accommodated.
