Happy Camper’s awesome pizza chefs will cook their way through your chosen menu, with delicious flavour options ranging from the classic Margherita and Hawaiian to Hot Salami and Prawn.

I took the leap of my life leaving a 20 year media career to join my partner Remi in launching Happy Camper Pizza. Along with our amazing team, we pride ourselves on our handmade, authentic pizzas and our AMAZING vintage trucks.

FAQ
Service is provided from our food truck. Our chefs will cook their way through your chosen pizza menu, providing a steady flow of pizzas throughout pizza service. Guests can choose from the array of hot pizza slices direct from the food truck, or from a buffet-style table (provided by you/venue) next to the food truck.
Pizzas are served on wooden paddles with napkins. We can also provide compostable kraft pizza boxes upon request. We can offer biodegradable sugarcane plates and wooden knife/fork sets for an additional fee. Pricing can be quoted upon request.
If you would like cocktail-style service or pizzas brought to a buffet table that isn’t directly next to our pizza oven, we can provide wait staff for an additional fee (or you can provide your own).
Guests with dietary requirements (e.g. gluten friendly) can approach our chefs during pizza service and ask for their chosen pizza to be cooked. We recommend serving your guests with special dietary needs first.
Yes, we can cater for Gluten-free*, Dairy-free, halal and Vegan requirements. We have an Allergen Matrix available for guests with special dietary requirements.
Vegans: If you have a small number of guests that are vegan we can provide some delicious options at no extra cost. Alternatively, we can bring along some vegan cheese specifically for your vegan guests.
Gluten friendly: We use fresh gluten free dough and cook the GF pizzas on their own tray. Please note that they are cooked within the same oven. Fresh gluten free dough is an additional $6 per person and we'll need to know in advance how many GF guests will be present.
*Due to the nature of our catering, there is a risk of cross-contamination (eg. we cook within the same oven, we cannot control the wind). As a result we cannot cater for anaphylactic coeliacs.
Our standard pizzas are 12 inch in size and are cut into 6 slices. Most pizza caterers provide small 10 inch pizzas. If you prefer 10 inch pizzas, let us know as we have different pricing.
We leave our dough to rise for approx. 48 hours and our pizzas are handmade on the spot using fresh and locally sourced ingredients.
Our standard packages includes two Pizza Chefs serving directly from our food trucks. For more than 100 guests, we add extra pizza chefs to ensure fast output (at no extra cost).
Wait staff are available at an additional cost.
Pizza service:
Our standard pizza service goes for 1.5 hours for up to 100 guests. We extend this to 2.5 hours for 101+ guests. You're welcome to extend this for an additional fee.
Arrival:
We arrive 1.5-2 hrs before your event, to set-up and heat our oven.
Departure / bump-out:
We depart 1 hour after the pizza service has finished, which allows our oven to cool down and our team to clean up.

We are always happy to set-up early or serve pizza longer. Extra fees apply to cover our staff time so please get in touch for a quote.

Do you use qualified chefs and are your staff paid on the books?
Does your team wear a uniform? How professional is your team?
Does the business have public liability insurance?
Is it registered with Council? Do they operate out of a commercial kitchen?
What is the size of the serve - for example if having pizza, is it 9 inch or 12 inch? What is your output/capacity?
As a pizza caterer we are often compared based on pricing alone and what brides fail to ask is how many pizzas can be made per hour?
We can output up to 150. Some pizza ovens can't get over 50.
Also, how well trained is the team? Some caterers pay really high rates and have an exceptional team serving you. Others don't. You essentially get what you pay for and should make sure you look closely at reviews and try to taste the food before booking.
