Every offering from Big Kitchen Events is generous, considered and made with passion, care and attention to detail. We care about where our ingredients come from and how they are prepared and presented. While paying homage to traditional techniques and favourites, BKE have developed inventive menus incorporating the best locally sourced produce, and contemporary cooking concepts, which we serve with elegant simplicity.
With over 6 decades of combined experience, BKE is a collaboration between Directors Gary Mehigan (of MasterChef fame and hatted restaurant, Fenix), restaurateur Steve Bogdani, industry veteran Brett May and Executive Chef Gary Farrell. In addition to an enthusiastic team of event staff, BKE is Melbourne’s newest events and catering business with a reputation for providing exceptional experiences to its clients and their guests. We believe that the best events are those with an electric atmosphere and a genuine sense of hospitality spirit. The entire BKE team are encouraged to embrace this philosophy on a daily basis and apply it to all aspects of the business.
Essentially, we treat our kitchen like a family kitchen. It’s filled with a richness of great food and people laughing and sharing with each other… It’s just that, in our case, it’s a really “big kitchen”!
