cost for a simple wedding cake?

Hi  Congratulation on you upcoming wedding 

 Prices depend on sizes , for a 3 tier in fondant finish with flowers  i start at $400+, this is not a set price it just depends on how many flowers and finish you were  after, setup and delivery are extra ,

  Did you mean a single cake of three layers of cake with filling in between? If so then a simple 3 layered , red velvet cake, with fillings and White/cream piped buttercream roses would be $70, delivered to the Venue in the Cairns area. However if you are wanting edible Fondant roses decorating the entire 6 inch cake that would cost $100. Delivered and set up in the Cairns area.

However if you meant a three tiered cake, which is made up of three different sized cakes either stacked together or set apart for display, then that is a different cenario!  A three tiered, buteercream covered cake with piped roses covering the entire cake in a 6, 8 & 10 inch combination would be $400, delivered and set up in the Cairns area. This cake would serve approx 80 people. However if you required Fondant roses over the entire cake then that would be between $550 and $750  delivered and set up in the Cairns area.

Final pricing for special occasion cakes depends on a few factors such as number of serves required, overall design and amount of work involved in the decorating process. As indicated that your preference is for sugar flowers these do take time to make by hand, which does increase your price against using fresh flowers. We love using both sugar flowers or fresh flowers, so the choice is entirely up to you.

A 3 tier wedding cake covered in fondant icing with edible sugar roses would be approximately $600-$800

This style is the most expensive wedding cake you can have because fondant icing is more expensive than buttercream or having a semi naked cake. Also sugar edible flowers are more expensive than using fresh flowers due to the time involved in making them.  I have prices on my website alongside many different designs so you can compare the prices of different styles.
