They definitely still have their place—semi-naked cakes are timeless and romantic, especially for rustic or garden-style weddings. BUT... we’re seeing more couples wanting to mix things up with something a little more unexpected and interactive. ???

That’s where our edible towers come in! They’re like the cool younger cousin of the wedding cake—super photogenic, easy to serve, and totally custom to your theme. Whether it’s a tower of chocolate-dipped strawberries, donuts, fruit, or even cheese, it’s a fresh (and delicious!) take that guests always rave about.

So yes, semi-naked cakes are still loved—but if you want a statement piece that doubles as a talking point and dessert, our towers are where it’s at! ??

o yes! For all occasions!

They look amazing with a simple spray of flowers,

Very elegant on white cake boards, or the tree style serving board, even a piece of corrugated iron looks stunning when set up correctly....

Semi naked cakes are still highly sort after as they are the first thing that comes to mind when your after a rustic look or theme. They are timeless, minimalist and elegant. Very easy to compliment any colour theme with The additions of flowers, and they are more cost effective than the fondant covered counterparts. Subtle elegance with nothing to prove/ natural beauty, and absolutely timeless makes them a great choice.

Hi,

Yes semi naked cakes are still a very popular choice.

Decorated with fresh flowers they can match your decoration styling.

A popular flavour choice is a light vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream.

Absolutely! The rise in popularity of lambeth-style full buttercream cakes in the last few years has definitely changed the cake landscape a bit, but I would estimate that around 50% of my wedding clients are still asking for, or interested in, seminaked cakes. It is really a timeless look - sharp clean edges but organic and not too stuffy/formal looking due to the cake peeping through. Ultimately - choose what you like best, not what you think is popular, and you won't regret it :)
