The Old Danube European Cakes & Desserts

If you have your wedding cake arranged already somewhere else and you are looking for decadent desserts on the side, you have come to the right place.
All our cakes have different flavours and they also vary in sweetness to satisfy even the pickiest of your guests.

Please note that we DO NOT make your actual wedding cake!!! We make desserts.

When we moved to Queensland a few years ago, we could not find a decent cake shop. Everything was factory made, too sweet and tasted just artificial. So, we decided to open a shop where we could create beautiful, indulging masterpieces to bring some colours to South-East Queensland.

Based on our rich Central-European heritage of pastry and cake making that dates back for centuries, we opened an Austrian-Hungarian style cake shop and cafe in Helensvale, on the North side of the Gold Coast. 

At The Old Danube we make indulging treats, which are made with passion and are based on centuries of tradition. All our cakes and slices are freshly handmade on the premises from scratch, with no pre-mixes or preservatives.

You can find a very wide variety of products. There are 25 different cakes to choose from for any occasions, plus many other treats that we prepare daily for our display in the shop.

Now we are expanding our range to include a variety of gluten, dairy and nut free cakes.
