At least 31 days beforehand but better 6 months before the planned day.

When you are ready to commit and this is only after you have met up.  You should take into account the busiest time of the year for a celebrant and this is generally October through to February.  I have weddings booked through to May so there is no rhyme or reason really.  Entirely up to you.

I always suggest you book your Celebrant before anything else, with the exception being if you plan your wedding at a popular venue.

Always make an informed decision based on your relationship.

As a celebrant I have bookings well ion advance as on many occasions the date and celebrant are the two most important things.

Once you have chosen your wedding date and venue, it is recommended you select your celebrant.

Keep in mind: legally the latest you can lodge your intention to marry is one calendar month before your wedding date.

My recommendation is to book the marriage celebrant as soon as you have booked the venue, if you want to be able to choose a celebrant that suits you and your personalities

Book your Celebrant as soon as you have the date and venue locked in.

A great Celebrant creates the dream wedding ceremony to start your future as husband and wife. It also sets the scene to lead into your fabulous reception and celebration with your family and friends.

Spend time getting to know the Celebrant and feel comfortable with them and absolutely confident they listen to you and ask questions, and will work with you to design a wonderful bespoke ceremony that absolutely reflects your personal story and the style of ceremony that suits you both.

It's a good idea to book your celebrant as early as possible after you have decided on your wedding date and decided on your venue.  Saturdays in particular book up quickly and it's important that you have time to make sure you can find a celebrant you you connect well with to support you throughout the planning and of course on your big day!  Provided its no longer than 18 months before your wedding date you can start connecting with proposed celebrants.

Best wishes and happy planning - I hope you book the perfect celebrant who will deliver your ceremony dreams.

My advice is as soon as you have decided on a date for your wedding you should start contacting celebrants. Having the right celebrant for your special day is really important.
