Hello, Yes, you will need to contact the family court for more information on that and it is usually associated with the Catholic Church. Good Luck.

An annulment of marriage in Australia is governed by the Family Law Act and requires a decree of nullity. A decree of nullity is an order which says that there is no legal marriage between the parties even though a marriage ceremony may have taken place . it is done through and by order of, the family court

You would need to seek advice from the Family court. Authorized celebrants don't give legal advice nor have anything to do with marriage annulments in Australia.

Yes, a marriage may be annulled according to s 23 Marriage Act 1961 (Cth), although occurs infrequently. Seek the advice of a family lawyer or the Family Court of Australia. See also;

Marriage annulments are common within the Catholic Church.So if you were married within the Catholic church I would suggest talking to your parish priest about it .Otherwise seek legal advise through the Family Law Court.As a Celebrant I am unable to give any legal advise

As Celebrants we are not to give out legal advise.

Contact your local Law Court and they will be able to help you out

Hi,

Yes they are.

The Family Law Court is where you need to look.
