OVERVIEW

Marriage is something to get excited about, which is why Kyle Marshall loves being a wedding celebrant. Based in Wollongong and travelling to weddings across Sydney, Kyle is a professional and vibrant celebrant who has been officiating tailored ceremonies for years. He gladly incorporates your traditions and customs into the ceremony and offers his service to couples from the LGBTIQ+ community.

Many couples drag their feet when it comes to planning their wedding because they feel overwhelmed or nervous. Having worked as a celebrant in Wollongong and across Sydney for several years, Kyle Marshall loves helping couples plan their perfect ceremony. He can walk you through the process and answer all your questions along the way, ensuring the end result is a ceremony you and your loved ones will remember forever.

“Kyle performed a small elopement service for me and my long-time partner. Though this was a fairly short service, Kyle delivered it professionally and made our special day even better. He also wrote a short Christian blessing that was very kind.” Lily A

Kyle thinks marriage is one of the most beautiful things on earth, which is why he invests so much time into getting to know you and your partner and tailoring your ceremony accordingly. This means discovering your personal style, your religious or cultural traditions, and any specific rites and rituals you want to incorporate into your ceremony.

Above anything else, Kyle believes your ceremony should be as unique as you are. Do you want to incorporate a candle lighting or knot-tying ceremony? Perhaps you want to invite friends or family members to perform a reading? Whether you want a short and sweet service or a longer ceremony with all the bells and whistles, Kyle will confidently engage with you and your guests and make sure the spotlight remains on you.

Can I get married in a church if Im not religious?

Im worried about the weather so Im looking for an indoor ceremony venue. Theres a church right next door to my mum's house so I thought I might have it there. But Im not religious. Can I have a civil ceremony in a church??

Kyle Marshall Celebrant Services

Absolutely, many couples wish to have their ceremony performed in a church for various reasons despite not benign religious themselves.

Just like any other private property it just depends on the owners permission.

If it is a public church however this may complicate things. Best to speak to the owners/reverend of the church.

Have a blast of a day.

I just need a celebrant and a license

How do I go about this? Do I need forms to fill out? It will be a very very simple wedding. Just need someone to do it please.

Kyle Marshall Celebrant Services

Hi there. There are a few forms to fill out, you generally need to provide yours and your partners birth certificates, passports etc. Feel free to contact me on my storefront to discuss this further with me. Kind regards Kyle

How does one handle someone bringing a baby to a kids-free wedding?

I didn't know what category to put this in, but my partner and I opted for a totally child-free wedding however we have a guest who has simply decided her grandchild ( a 23week baby) will be coming along - without asking anyone! The parents are invited to the wedding but only one set of grandparents. I know the other set is available to babysit (and would be delighted to) but the guest is simply insisting that the baby will just come along (and note - it's not the mother insisting, it's the grandmother). How do I have a conversation with her or at least my M-I-L (it's her cousin) to let her know that it is our wish NOT to have children attend - and there are other couples that are respecting these wishes! I think it's rude both to us and those guests that have respected our wish to simply assume that this is ok.

Kyle Marshall Celebrant Services

Bit of a hard one. Best to speak to this person directly; if they are not willing to compromise by leaving their child, especially at such a young age, at home, then it may be best to ask them to not attend. Speaking to the parents of the child rather than the grandparents may help as well. Kind regards Kyle
