I became a celebrant because I wanted to find a job that would be a tonne of fun, and fulfil my innate desire to connect with people and celebrate their love. And boy am I glad I did! Finding your dream celebrant is not a decision that should be taken lightly. My best advice is to consider the 3 V’s. (Trademarking it right now)

Ok 1 and 3 are the same word. BUT what I mean is, find a celebrant with whom your personal values and morals align, you connect and vibe with, and the value of service they describe appears very sound and worthwhile, backed up with evidence and testimony. 

If you value a personal experience, inclusivity, recognition of Traditional Owners of land, with a healthy dose of giddy goat balanced with organised professionalism, there’s a GOOD chance I could be the right celebrant for you. 

I always arrive at least an hour before the ceremony start time. This gives me plenty of time to get my PA set up and sound check, greet and connect with your other vendors, say hi to the both of you and then fizz around greeting guests, saying hi to your mums and cutting laps between each partner until we’re ready to go. 

Depending on the circumstances of the wedding, I will often stay to snap a few pics and cheers a glass of bubbles with you guys and your guests if I can! I also tend to run around, help to move furniture, pick up glasses or find jobs that need doing cos i can’t really help it. I’ve also had a number of couples invite me to stay for their reception, which I absolutely love and is always such an honour!

For weddings in Sydney, travel is included in my flat package fee. For weddings outside Sydney, e.g. Hunter Valley, South Coast or Southern Highlands, I ask for $0.78/km beyond 20km, for fuel/car expenses as recommended by the ATO. I also may ask for an additional fee to cover accomodation if needed, depending on the time of your ceremony.

For interstate / international weddings, please enquire! I love to travel and would love to marry you in any exotic location of your choosing!

In the extremely rare and unfortunate event I’d be unable to show up on the day (it’s never happened!), I would reach out to my brilliant network of celebuddies and make all necessary efforts to find a suitable replacement. This is stipulated in my contract and rest assured, you and your betrothed would be married as planned!

This one depends on you and what kind of ceremony you’d like, whether it be cutting straight to the chase, or dressed up with all the frills. The shortest ceremony I’ve done was 5mins, whilst the longest was about 45mins! Generally speaking, the average ceremony is about 25-30mins.

We booked Grace to be our celebrant as we knew straight away she was perfect for us with her really beautiful down to earth nature. Grace made every thing feel easy, and her ongoing questions and enquiries were very thought provoking on what we actually wanted included in our ceremony. We booked the All the Bells and Whistles package and we were so glad to have Grace tell our story. Grace used humour in the right spots but was also incredibly professional, illuminating the important parts of our relationship and marriage, all with zero cheese factor!
