Susan Marr

Hello! My name is Susan Marr and I am a resident of Keppel Sands on the Capricorn Coast. I have been a Marriage Celebrant since 2002, and I am a JP Qualified. Prior to conducting ceremonies, my hobby involved dress making specialising in wedding and evening wear. I also became involved in wedding arranging. I am prepared to travel anywhere in the Central Highlands (Emerald, Springsure, Clermont etc), Rockhampton and the Capricorn Coast.

I am a firm believer in marriage equality and have expressed this opinion on many occasions, and argued the point with numerous people to encourage a Yes vote.

My ceremonies are each written to reflect the story and trials and tribulations of the bride and groom from when they first met to where they are on the day of the ceremony. It usually takes several tries until we get a ceremony that is unique and approved by the bride and groom. I have not used a standard set ceremony unless specifically asked for by the client.

I have scouted out some beautiful venues and organised tacit approval from the governing bodies, to perform ceremonies there. Some are on the beach, so the tide times are exceptionally important, and some are just beautiful woodland settings. I have performed ceremonies on Blackdown Tableland, at dawn, standing in water, and on a cliff top.
