About

I am a fun and relaxed celebrant who wants to work closely with you both to ensure that your ceremony is a memorable and enjoyable start to the next exciting chapter of your love story. Upon reflecting on our big day, my favourite part was not the glamour of getting ready, the amazing reception with friends and family or even our first dance as husband and wife. It was our ceremony which had us all laughing, shedding a few joyful tears and sharing our story with loved ones.

FAQ

I am happy to travel Perth metropolitan area as well as the south west region including Albany as i have family there.

If the distance of a return journey between the Celebrant’s home and the place of marriage exceeds 40 kilometers – a fee agreed between the Celebrant and the parties to the marriage may be charged.

I have perforned a range of unique ceremonies including:

  • A wine ceremony - symbolic of the cup of life
  • Sand ceremony - joining two lives into one marriage
  • Candle lighting - candles represent each of you as individuals which become a united flame
  • Blended family - the desire of the couple to extend their commitments to each other by making promises to any children in the family

Yes it is. Sometimes this is done by an elder family member or a friend.

Certainly no problem to include in your ceremony.

Yes, one suggestion is to place a photo on the signing table with flowers or a candle. Simple wording can also be used at some stage during the ceremony.

Marg made our day so special, full of love and tailored the ceremony so it was very 'us'. We can't thank her enough for all her amazing effort in the lead up and on our wedding day! xx

Marg was by our side from the very beginning, she made the process of choosing our vows so easy and perfect for us. We were both very relaxed on the wedding day and knew we were in the best hands.

What's the usual order of events in a wedding ceremony?

A loving heart is always young

There is nothing set in stone as to the order of events for your ceremony.

However you asked for the USUAL order.

1.   Introduction/Welcome

2.   The Giving away

3.   A reading

4.   The asking

5.   Monitum -  this must be read by the Celebrant - required by law

6.   The Vows -  required by law in the format "I (full name of husband) take you (full name of bride) to be my lawful (wife/husband)"  Additional vows are usually included here as chosen by the couple

7.   The ring ceremony

8.   Declaration  - this is where the "kiss" comes in

9.   Signing of register - with two witnesses over the age of 18

10. Introduction - as Mr & Mrs if the couple so wish

have you ever said no to doing a couple's wedding?

A loving heart is always young

No I haven't.   However we must always work according to the law.   Should a circumstance arise that was outside the law in Australia I would have no choice but to say no.
