Even though your wedding day starts early, the ceremony is the start of the event for your guests. That’s why it’s vital to work with a celebrant who understands the tone you want to set.

“Sharon Kershaw was a professional celebrant. She was funny and did an amazing job. Our guests thought she was fantastic and loved every minute of the ceremony. Her ceremony was funny (which is what we wanted) emotional, and narrated very well. Definitely recommend Sharon.” Sousana T

FAQ

Counting the initial face-to-face meeting, generally only 2 - 3 times including the rehearsal, unless there's something you feel needs to be discussed together in person.  Most dialogue is done via email &/or phone.  I am available to my Couples as often as they need.  :)

1. The Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM)  - signed at the initial booking, & a minimum of one Calendar month before the day.

2.  The Declaration of No Impediment to Marriage  - signed before the wedding - usually at the rehearsal.

3.  The Official Marriage Certificate -  signed on the day.

These are all provided by the Celebrant (though you can download the NOIM yourselves from the Attorney General's website), and lodged by her after the wedding at the Register of Births, Deaths & Marriages.

4.  The Couple's Marriage Certificate (decorative),  signed on the day & kept by the Couple.  This is a legal document, but doesn't have the same powers as the Official Marriage Certificate.

Well, it's actually quite a simple process:  A Vow is a promise - and something you don't break,  so write down about 5 - 10 things you can promise to keep.  e.g. to respect you as a person;  to be honest with you; to stand up for you in front of others - even if I don't agree with you: to love you as deeply and constantly as i can, etc. etc.  By the time you've put a pile of these together with some caring connective words you have your Vows.  Simples!!  And if you have problems this is where your Celebrant can help.  :)

Sharon is very nice and she gave us all the details and how to do things before the wedding. She made sure that we were organised and followed us up to make sure we had everything that we needed.

We instantly knew Sharon was the right celebrant to marry us. When crafting our ceremony, she took the time to get to know us as a couple. Her way with words came through on the day, and she delivered the most beautiful ceremony that we will treasure forever.
