Melbourne bayside based Celebrant Dee, prepares your story with years of corporate experience behind her, flexibility and creativity to design and tailor a ceremony perfect for you. Dee is bilingual and can easily perform your wedding ceremony in both English & Japanese.

Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding! I’d love to talk to you about what you’d like for your wedding day. I prepare great ceremonies and tell your story about how you met and what your hope and dreams are for the future.

My approach is to be flexible to fit in with you, I’m very organised and ridiculously punctual!!

I have worked in the corporate world for many years and as a result, I’m a great public speaker and professional. I love a good party and event and can help you with that as well. I like to think I’m a bit of a foodie and love a good wine. I am a big supporter of the LGBTIQ community and love a rainbow wedding.

Please get in touch and let’s work on your dream wedding together.

Questions and Answers

Something went wrong, please try again soon.

Can we still get married while COVID-19 restrictions are in place?

Dee Celebrant

Absolutely! We just need to follow the Health Department guidelines in your state for how many guests we can have in attendance and we need to follow physical distancing rules.

A great option is to have your legal wedding this year and a big celebration with all your guests next year - with a renewal of vows ceremony.

I have a special offer to perform these 2 ceremonies - see my Special Offers section.

What do your fees include?

Dee Celebrant

As a Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrant, I'm authorised to perform your wedding and submit all your legal paperwork.

- 2 face to face meetings before your wedding day to plan your ceremony (and complete the paperwork)

- Drafts of the ceremony to be emailed to you for checking - typically 3 drafts to capture all your wishes

- A pre-wedding ceremony rehearsal (if you wish) on-site - this helps calm the nerves and esnures the day runs well

- A great PA system for use outdoors and with big crowds

- Me - professional, well presented celebrant -making your wedding day just as you wish

-  A bi-lingual English - Japanese wedding - if you need it!

What other services can you help with?

Dee Celebrant

I am a great planner of events, so I can help by making suggestions to the plan for the day, the venue and catering.

I'll work with your photographer and other service providers to make sure we get the best out of your day.

I can also be the MC for your wedding ceremony (additional cost)

What are your qualifications?

Dee Celebrant

I am a Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrant - which has been approved by the Federal Attorney General.

I have a Certificate IV in Marriage Celebrancy, having studied at Gordon TAFE.

I am a member of the Australian Federation of Civil Celebrants (AFCC).

In my corporate life, I am an accredited Trainer and Facilitator and have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (meaning I write great ceremonies and am a good public speaker).

I am a People and Culture / Human Resources Director - meaning I'm good with people and professional.

I have 2 University degrees in Japanese and have lived in Japan - which is why I can perform English - Japanese bilingual ceremonies.

Why did you become a Marriage Celebrant?

Dee Celebrant

I performed my 1st wedding ceremony over 20 years ago - I love celebrating love and life.

The Marriage Equality result (sadly it had to take place at all - Love is Love - very simple!!) absolutley encouraged me to get a wider profile out there and promote weddings.

I love being involved in people's wedding ceremonies and special events in their lives.

I'm also very good at what I do!!

Daniel and I really appreciated Dee’s hard work and compassion! She spoke some Japanese for our wedding(because I’m from Japan and my family can understand only Japanese). She was very keen to make our ceremony everything we wanted right from the start and shared some great ideas with us. Even with all the muck about that came with coronavirus Dee was amazingly understanding and actually very helpful with getting our wedding done. Many thanks to Dee and we look forward to having her back when we renew our vows next year :)

Dee Celebrant

Erika and Daniel - thanks for your lovely review. I really enjoyed being part of your wedding celebrations and I am so happy for you both. I am looking forward to creating another beautiful Japanese-English ceremony for your renewal of your vows next year. Thank you for letting me be your marriage celebrant - it's an honour.
