OVERVIEW

My name is Alisa Melhuish and I am an Authorised Civil Celebrant.

10 years ago I decided that I wanted to spend my time working with people during the most important moments of their lives. Becoming a Celebrant felt like the perfect fit. As a chef and Event Manager, Weddings were my passion. I started as a Marriage Celebrant in 2009, and what a joyful career it has been with over 200 ceremonies.

As an authorised Civil Celebrant, I am legally able to conduct weddings and funerals.

I am based on the spectacular Mornington Peninsula, the home of the ‘Destination Wedding’ and some of the most gorgeous venues in the country. I delight in travelling to equally beautiful locations in the Dandenong’s and Melbourne.

I love to laugh and celebrate life and will take as much time as is needed to ensure that you feel completely comfortable with me. I will encourage you to share your stories so I can craft your ceremony with love and attention to detail.

Love and Laughter are my 2 favourite things in the world. I love my Husband, my kids and being a Marriage Celebrant. I wake up every day and have fun while doing what I love. I always wanted to be a singer, but my singing voice is not so great, so 10 years ago I found another career that gives me a microphone and an audience. As a Celebrant I get to provide a beautiful and significant moment in your life and ensure it is everything you want it to be.

Alisa was an amazing celebrant! so many guests complimented our ceremony. There were some happy tears and also a lots of laughs. We only met a few times but the ceremony she wrote up was perfect, it was like she had known us for years.

Alisa is very organised and ensured the ceremony included what we wanted and everything legal. She also ensured everything was to plan before the bride arrived (including fixing the boys suits and button holes).

Alissa was amazing throughout the whole process. She provided a warm and engaging ceremony and truly set the tone for what was an amazing night to follow. We wrote our own vows and she made sure they were well matched, so it was a lovely surprise when we heard them from each other for the very first time. She truly help make our ceremony our very own. She helped stay a while with organising guests for our group photo and also with our tea ceremony. It was a seamless stress free day with Alissa guiding us through. I would definitely not hesitate Alissa for anyone considering a civil celebrant.
