OVERVIEW
Your ceremony should feel like you. Not like something I’ve pulled out of a folder and simply changed the names.
I’m Pauli, a Sydney marriage celebrant, MC and professional musician, and I believe the best weddings find that sweet spot between heartfelt, relaxed and genuinely entertaining.
Some couples want plenty of laughs. Some want something beautifully intimate and emotional. Most want a little of both.
My job is to get to know you well enough that when I stand in front of your family and friends and tell your story, it feels natural, personal and unmistakably yours.
I’ve spent more than 20 years performing and entertaining audiences, so I’m very comfortable with a microphone in my hand. But being a great celebrant isn’t about putting on a show. It’s about knowing when to bring the energy, when to get out of the way, when to make people laugh and when to simply let a moment breathe.
And on the day, I want you to feel completely looked after.
I’ll guide you through the legal side, help with your vows, work with your other suppliers, keep things calm when nerves kick in, and make sure the ceremony flows beautifully from the moment your guests arrive until you walk back down that aisle married.
What you can expect
A completely personalised ceremony built around the two of you
The right balance of sincerity, emotion and humour
Help writing or refining your vows
All legal paperwork prepared and lodged
Professional PA, wireless microphones and ceremony music
Calm guidance throughout the planning process and on the wedding day
An experienced performer who knows how to read a room
MC services if you’d like that same continuity through the reception
Live trumpet performance for couples wanting something a little different
Sydney based, with weddings throughout NSW and Australia
I’ve married couples in everything from intimate gatherings to huge celebrations, and in some fairly adventurous locations along the way.
Whatever you have planned, I’m not interested in making your wedding fit my style.
We find yours.
If you think we might be a good fit, let’s have a chat.
ABOUT PAULI
Before becoming a marriage celebrant, I spent many years working professionally as a musician and entertainer, performing everywhere from Sydney to Ibiza and Mykonos.
That background taught me a lot more than simply how to use a microphone.
It taught me how to read people, how to hold a room, how to improvise when something unexpected happens and, most importantly, how to understand that every audience and every occasion has its own energy.
I bring all of that into my weddings.
I love the laughs, absolutely. But I also love those moments in a ceremony when suddenly everything becomes very real. The look between two people during their vows. A parent trying unsuccessfully not to cry. A room full of people becoming completely silent because something meaningful has just landed.
That's the magic for me.
I want your guests to laugh, feel something and come away saying:
“That ceremony was completely them.”
And I want the two of you to enjoy the process just as much as the day itself.
CELEBRANT
Your ceremony is written specifically for you and can be as relaxed, romantic, funny, emotional or unconventional as you want it to be.
Your celebrant service includes:
A completely personalised ceremony
Unlimited contact throughout the planning process
Assistance with vows
All required legal paperwork and lodgement
Professional PA system
Wireless microphone for vows and readings
Ceremony music playback
Official marriage documentation
Guidance from our first meeting through to the wedding day
Short and simple or wonderfully detailed, we build the ceremony around you.
CELEBRANT + MC
If you’d like one person looking after the energy and flow of your wedding from ceremony through to reception, Celebrant + MC is where everything really comes together.
You get everything included in my celebrant service, plus:
Reception planning and run sheet assistance
Coordination with your venue and other suppliers
Guest announcements and formalities
Personalised introductions for your speakers
First dance, cake cutting and reception highlights
Games and interactive moments where appropriate
Plenty of humour without turning your wedding into a comedy show
Someone keeping an eye on timing so you don't have to
Continuity from the moment you say “I do” through to the celebration afterwards
Because I already know you, your story, your families and the personalities in the room, the reception doesn't feel like a completely different person has suddenly taken over.
It simply feels like the celebration continues.
MC
A great MC does much more than announce names and tell everyone when dinner is being served.
I’ll work with you before the wedding to build the flow of the reception, coordinate with your venue and suppliers, prepare personalised introductions and make sure the evening keeps moving without ever feeling rushed.
On the night, I’ll read the room, keep your guests engaged, handle the unexpected and make sure you can concentrate on the important part:
enjoying your wedding.
LIVE TRUMPET
And then there’s the trumpet.
I’m a professional trumpet player and can add live performance to your reception, whether that’s something beautiful for your first dance or something completely different later in the night alongside your DJ or band.
It can begin elegant.
It doesn't necessarily have to stay that way.
If you want that extra burst of live energy when the dance floor opens, this is one of my favourite ways to finish the transformation from ceremony into celebration.

FAQ
While I'm based in Sydney, I’m more than happy to travel ANYWHERE in Australia to officiate your wedding! Whether you need me to jump out of a plane or scuba dive for your special day, I’m all in! Just reach out to discuss the costs involved for travel to your chosen location. Let’s make your wedding day unforgettable, no matter where it takes us!
The fastest ceremony I have performed to date was over in 10 minutes however I prefer it to more of a ceremony rather than a procedure. We can craft a meaningful and sophisicated ceremony and have it performed in approx 30 mins - that said it is totally up to you and we can make it suit your requirement :)
I do have a wireless mic and speaker I can supply for the ceremony which does not require power allowing the location to be free of cables and power outlets. I wear a headset microphone and can provide a handheld microphone to you for your vows and readings. I can also play music through the system is required.
Definitely. Write them yourself, send me a rough draft, or stare at a blank page in mild panic and call me. We’ll get there.
Absolutely. No templates with your names dropped into the gaps. I get to know you, find the stories and moments that matter, then build a ceremony that actually sounds like you.
Usually, yes. But never at your expense. I use humour where it belongs and let the meaningful moments land when they need to. Think great timing, not stand-up comedy.
Not at all. A surprising number of couples tell me exactly that. My job is to make you comfortable, take the pressure off and make the ceremony feel like a conversation rather than a performance.
God no. This is your wedding, not an audition. I can print them beautifully, prompt you, or create simple call-and-response vows if that suits you better.
Yep, and it works brilliantly. I already know you, your families, your story and the vibe you want, so there’s no awkward change of gears when the reception starts.
Relaxed, sharp, organised and fun. I keep things moving, work with your venue and suppliers, give your speakers proper introductions and make sure the reception has energy without making myself the main event.
I do. Professionally. If you want live trumpet during your reception, first dance or alongside your DJ, we can absolutely make that happen. Subtle and beautiful or dance-floor chaos. Your call.
Absolutely. Send me your tracks and I can handle the music for arrivals, procession, signing and your big walk back down the aisle.
Usually not. Most ceremonies are straightforward enough that a quick run-through before we start is plenty. If your ceremony has complicated entrances, a large wedding party or unusual logistics, we can absolutely arrange one.
Most land around 20 to 30 minutes, but there’s no magic number. Long enough to mean something. Short enough that your guests aren’t wondering when the bar opens.
Absolutely. I’m Sydney based, but I regularly travel throughout NSW and beyond. If there’s a wedding at the other end of the trip, I’m interested.
Of course. Not every couple wants their life story turned into a three-act epic. We can keep it short, relaxed and meaningful while still making it feel personal.
Absolutely. Your ceremony should reflect your people, background and relationship. Tell me what matters to you and we’ll work out how to include it naturally and respectfully.
Something usually does. Weather changes. Someone is late. A flower girl stages a coup. After years of weddings and 20+ years performing live, I’m very comfortable thinking on my feet. Most of the time, you’ll never even know there was a problem.
As soon as you know you want me. Popular Saturdays disappear quickly, but it’s always worth asking. Occasionally the wedding-calendar gods smile upon us.
Have a chat with me. You’ll know pretty quickly. If you want something genuine, relaxed, polished, a little cheeky and completely free of beige wedding waffle, we’re probably going to get along.
Yes. I guide you through the NOIM, prepare the required documents, conduct the legal ceremony and lodge everything after the wedding. You just need to get married. I’ll worry about the government bits.

Hi Mariana, congratulations on your engagement! I would recommend getting your paperwork in order as soon as is viable for you. You will have many things regarding the planning and preparation of your wedding which will come up very quickly and the less you have on your plate the better. This is one thing you can get out of the way early on without worrying about a last minute rush. As per the legislation and specifically the Marriage Act 1961 you must lodge your "NOIM" no less than one month prior and no more than 18 months prior. Please see below an excerpt from the act relevant to your question.
"The NOIM must be given to the authorised celebrant no earlier than 18 months and no later than one month before the date of the marriage.22 A notice expires after 18 months, and a marriage may not be solemnised if the NOIM was received more than 18 months before the date of the proposed marriage. Parties are encouraged to produce their evidence of date and place of birth as well as evidence of identity and the end of any previous marriage (if relevant) at the time of lodging the NOIM. However, this document may be produced at any time before the marriage is solemnised. For the purposes of complying with the timeframes required for lodging the NOIM it is sufficient for an authorised celebrant to sight scanned (emailed) or faxed copies of the documents at the time of lodgement of the NOIM, provided the originals are sighted by the authorised celebrant before the marriage is solemnised."
All the best with your ceremony and wedding festivities! :)
