The ceremony takes between 25 and 35 minutes. This includes the time taken for the Bride, the Groom and the Bridesmaids and Best Men to take their places.

You do not have to write your own personal vows, there are however some legal vows that must be said to officiate the marriage.
"I call upon the persons here present, to witness that I, (insert name here) take you, (insert spouse's name) to be my lawful wedded husband/wife" -These are the legal vows that must be said.
You can then choose to add in some personal vows as well. You can write them yourselves or have your celebrant help/write vows for you.
A marriage occurring in Australia may be solemnised on any day, at any time, and at any place. The marriage must be registered in the State or Territory where the marriage was solemnised and your celebrant will ensiure this happens.
