“Nik Reeds was such a pleasure to work with. From the get-go, he was very easy to talk to and was great at guiding us through the whole planning process for our wedding. He was always only an email or call away if we ever needed any guidance or had any questions. Nik gave us a perfect personalised love story and was able to direct the proceedings of the day smoothly. We ended with smiles all around. I could not have hoped for a better experience. If anyone is looking for a professional to help you on your day, it's definitely Nik” — Tien H.

About
I love weddings! I have been a full time wedding industry professional for over 10 years. Myself and my wife (Natalie), have helped thousands of couples to have an amazing wedding experience. Coming from a background as a wedding entertainer and professional Master of Ceremonies (which I still am), it was a logical extension to become a celebrant. We live on the Gold Coast with our two amazing kids.

FAQ
The first step is to meet me! (Virtually online or in person).
I believe it's really important to meet anyone you are considering as your marriage celebrant.
You need to make sure they are the right person for the both of you.
To make sure they make you feel comfortable and that they "gel" with what you are trying to create for your day.
I ask you some questions, you ask me some questions.
We get to know each other over a drink at a place of your choosing. .. (or online).
Each couple is unique and different, and so is each celebrant.
After we meet, you both walk away (or end the virtual meeting). I don't put you on the spot and ask you what you think.
After we meet, I leave it in your hands. If you get back to me and say I'm the person for you ... GREAT!
If not, that's cool too.
So, if we met and you decide I'm the right person to be honoured with the priveledge of marrying you, we make a time to catch up again.
Again?
Yes, let's catch up again (same place for a drink again if you want?)
This time though, I ask you to both bring along your current valid drivers licences and original birth certificates or current valid passports.
In this meeting we sign the legally required Notice of Intent to Marry form (which must be completed a minimum of 30 days prior to the marriage). I walk you though every step and get it signed.
Whilst we are at this meeting, we get to know each other even more (I love getting to know my couples, this way I can create a more tailored ceremony to suit your personalities). We also start talking more in depth about the elements you can have at your cermemony.
I love hanging out with my couples!
Between our meeting to get you to sign the Notice of Intent to Marry and the wedding day, you have as much (or as little) access to me as you wish.
You can always pick up the phone and chat, send me an email or even schedule another meet up with me.
I want to know that YOU BOTH have all your questions answered and that I am creating the ceremony of your dreams.
(In fact, you also get access to your own 24/7 online planning portal to tweak any elements we have spoken about).
If you want a rehearsal prior to the actually wedding day, that's fine and we can chat about that too.
Otherwise, it's SHOW TIME!
The wedding day where I get the priveledge of helping to create all that we planned and spoke about and see you both officially married!

Get Expert AdviceConfusion around roles of matron of honour, maid of honor and who can be a witness with the best man
I have a Maid of Honor who is unmarried and a Matron of Honor who is married. I want my Matron to be a witness along with the Best Man. Even though she is married, can I have her as the Maid instead?
Nik Reeds Celebration
Technically and traditionally, if the lady you are having as your Maid / Matron of honour is married, she is supposed to be referred to as "Matron of Honour". However, not many couples I have experienced have really liked that term.
Almost every couple I have worked with have chosen to just go with "Maid of Honour".
Which is fine. There isn't any legal requirement to call them "Matron".
As far as who can be a witness, anyone of sound mind over the age of 18!
I hope this helps.
