It's an honour and privilege having the best seat in the house, this is a family and friends event, so lets relax and enjoy ourselves:)

Welcome aboard, congratulations on your engagement.

Weddings! I'm sure you have all experienced the boring, cringe worthy Ceremony...this was my compelling moment.

I became a Celebrant and vowed to create fun, engaging, bespoke ceremonies, conscious of whom the stars of the day are...you.

Your Wedding is a family and loved ones event. I embrace and engage everybody as soon as they arrive, and ensure all are in the moment.

The “Celebrant with wings”- Why? Well, I am also an International Flight Attendant, have been for 30 years. My experience with flying all over the world has educated me in connecting with all cultures and ethnicities, whether it be looking after people such as Nelson Mandela, dignitaries, celebreties or taking care of wide eyed refugees flying out of Africa. (Happy to deliver a phrase in any language too)

I also MC for all types of events. Being the Master of ceremonies and marrying you can be a fun more personal combo.

Fitzroy being home, Melbourne my backyard:) I enjoy a drive, so travel State wide not an issue.

If you desire a simple elopement/Registry style wedding, can do.

Boring, cringe worthy Ceremonies... My inspiration in becoming a Celebrant! Your Wedding should be the highlight of the day, inclusive, fun, and an experience for you and your loved ones to relish. 25 years with Qantas, including being Flight MC for special Qantas/Constellation Journey charters around the world. What can we say? Right from the first meeting Ray was amazing. The service he provided was second to none and we are both very happy we chose him as our Wedding Celebrant. Our ceremony was the relaxed, happy, sparkling ceremony we were hoping for. Ray has a great sense of humour and kept our guests entertained. Ray’s service was nothing short of exceptional. He tempers absolute professionalism with humour and charisma. He provides a very helpful step-by-step manual for his clients which makes the process of helping him craft a ceremony easy! Not only did he constantly communicate with us in a clear and timely fashion - he went further than that - popping around for a beer to provide some calming counsel at the peak of our wedding planning stress. The ceremony itself was faultless. Few can write a script with stories and anecdotes provided by a couple and then bring life to the story at the ceremony and entertain everyone. Ray is one of the few. You get more than just the trademark white glasses (which I must add is very trendy). You get someone who is happy to take charge of everything at the ceremony and then more as we both were not quite sure what to expect from a ceremony. Ray guided us through the ceremony and whatever doubts we had whether it was too long and whether it was draggy was immediately dealt with and he made us comfortable knowing we had nothing to worry about the day itself. Ray made the ceremony interesting and very lighthearted. He transitioned from funny to serious effortlessly and I am so glad I picked Ray as my celebrant.

Is it OK to ask a celebrant to wear a costume at our wedding?

Hello! I've read some responses to celebrants dressing in a matching style etc. Is it rude to ask if they wouldn't mind wearing a costume? I've read somewhere a couple got married by batman and then the obvious Elvis option.. I like the idea of an iconic character and think it would be something to remember but wouldn't want to offend anyone or make it a bad experience. TIA

Yes it is! I have dressed up at surprise weddings as Borat and a waiter, an absolute hoot.

My next surprise wedding my disguise will be as a photgrapher! Now when one does you do have to play the part thus your acting skills are important.

Of course this is still up to each individual Celebrant, so it is a matter of finding an agreeable Celebrant.

They will also guide you in completion and also lodge at Births, Deaths and Marriages Registry once relavant document (eg: passports or birth certificates) are sighted and witnessed by an authorised authority. Fun for me as a Celebrant comes naturally. The key is for it not to be contrived or rehearsed, but how do we achieve this? Chemistry... between the couple, myself and the audience. The skill to ad lib is vital, not everybody can do this and is something that just flows with the moment but being mindful of whom the stars are, the marrying couple. My skill is in my writing and seazing the moment with a pause, a look, a quick barb or simple banter with those involved.

So, call me... Celebrant with wings:)
