OVERVIEW
I have a relaxed, fun, bright and bubbly personality. My desire is to create 'your day, your way' with fun, love and laughter.
I have been with my partner for the past twenty-three years, and am delighted with the marriage equality result which has opened the door for all people to be able to marry their life partner.
My life experiences include a plethora of musical theatre performances, and over thirty-five years of nursing working with families and children - this has given me strong communication skills with a listening ear that truly hears the needs of others, and the skills of pulling a performance together - minimising stress and anxiety, and presenting a ceremony on the day that is all the couple could ever have wished for.......and more.
Contact me today for a relaxed and obligation free meeting to discuss your plans and ideas - 2023 is booking up fast with 2024 hot on its tail :)
About
I have always wanted to be a Celebrant, and after years of Nursing, this was the perfect time for me to follow the path of my dreams. I have been honoured throughout my life by being present in all of life's moments - and having the opportunity to make those life's moments the most special of times for the people in my care - very happy and very sad moments given unconditional time and understanding. This is my approach to all of life's precious moments - and especially your wedding day.

Can't wait to change my name!

Hi there, In Victoria it takes anywhere from 2-6 weeks for the official marriage certificate to arrive in the post - depends how busy BDM are.
I register all my weddings online following the ceremony, and its all part of my wedding package to include ordering and paying for your official marriage certificate so that that task is handled for you. Enjoy your day :)
Is it OK to ask a celebrant to wear a costume at our wedding?
Hello! I've read some responses to celebrants dressing in a matching style etc. Is it rude to ask if they wouldn't mind wearing a costume? I've read somewhere a couple got married by batman and then the obvious Elvis option.. I like the idea of an iconic character and think it would be something to remember but wouldn't want to offend anyone or make it a bad experience. TIA

Absolutely :) The more fun the better!! Apart from the serious, legal aspect of marriage, the ceremony is really a performance - scripts, lines, make-up, music, entrances and exits, rituals - which can all be enhanced by costume. Have the BEST day - your day, your way.
Confusion around roles of matron of honour, maid of honor and who can be a witness with the best man
I have a Maid of Honor who is unmarried and a Matron of Honor who is married. I want my Matron to be a witness along with the Best Man. Even though she is married, can I have her as the Maid instead?

Anyone over the age of 18yrs can be a legal witness for your marriage. I am finding more and more couples who are choosing a wedding party, and choosing separate witnesses for the paperwork, so that more of their friends and family can be involved in the actual ceremony.
Traditionally the Matron of Honour is a married person, and the Maid of Honour is an unmarried person. I'm finding that many couples have let go of the old terminology, and are now embracing wedding parties with all genders accompanying either of the couple down the aisle.
