What You’ll Love About Working with The Shelleybrant For Your Toowoomba Wedding:
“Shelley was absolutely incredible for our wedding, she is extremely personable and professional. She led us through the legal side of marriage with confidence, and crafted the perfect customised ceremony just for us. Our day was so fun and full of love, and we couldn't have asked for a better celebrant to marry us!” - Jac + Jamie
Shelley has a natural way of bringing stories to life. She gets to know the moments, quirks and memories that make each relationship unique, then turns them into a ceremony with genuine emotion, well-placed humour and plenty of heart. Her confident delivery keeps the ceremony moving smoothly while giving every important moment the space it deserves.
Couples can choose The Essentials for a simple legal ceremony or Your Story for a more detailed, custom-written ceremony. Shelley also offers vow guidance, ceremony rehearsals, MC services and travel beyond the Toowoomba area. Her organised approach, clear communication and upbeat energy bring structure to the planning process and a warm presence to the wedding day.

FAQ
Honestly? Someone who asks more questions than they answer in your first chat. A good celebrant should want to know your story before they tell you what your ceremony "should" look like — not hand you a template and fill in the blanks. Look for someone who's upfront about pricing (no vague "packages available on request"), explains the legal side without jargon, and whose past ceremonies don't all sound the same when you read them back to back. Chemistry matters too — this is the person standing next to you while you make it official, so you want someone whose energy actually matches yours, whether that's calm and steady or a bit cheeky. If a celebrant can't tell you why they do this job, that's worth noticing.
I only do weddings — no funerals, no naming days, no corporate MC work on the side. That means every ceremony I write gets my full attention, and I'm not recycling lines from somewhere else. I write from scratch, every time.
The first legal step is lodging your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) — and it needs to happen at least one month and one day before your wedding, no exceptions. It's the one deadline in wedding planning that actually can't move, so it's the first thing I sort out with you. I'll walk you through the form and what ID you need, plain English, no confusion.
Yes, all of it — I'll walk you through the Notice of Intended Marriage, what documents you need, and the timing, in plain English. No legal jargon, no guessing.
No. If it sounds like it could be anyone's wedding, I haven't done my job. I take the time to get your story right so the ceremony sounds like you, not like a form letter with your names swapped in.
Whatever fits the day — I'm not turning up in a suit to your paddock wedding or thongs to your black-tie one. I take my cues from your ceremony's vibe and dress to complement it, not compete with your bridal party for attention. If you've got a colour scheme or a strong theme, let me know and I'll work with it. The short answer: smart, appropriate, and never the thing anyone's looking at in your photos.
Definitely — that's most couples. We'll have a chat, I'll ask the right questions, and we'll figure out together what your ceremony should actually include (and just as importantly, what it doesn't need to).
Yes. I regularly travel across the Darling Downs, Southern Downs, Granite Belt, Western Downs, and further out into South West and Central West Queensland. If you're not sure whether your venue's in range, just ask.
Yes — MC services are available as an add-on. Since I've already spent time with you and know your story, it means one less new face to brief on your day, and someone who can carry that same tone from ceremony through to reception.
