Alongside her work as a part-time primary school teacher, Michelle helps couples approach their ceremony with clarity and confidence. Her decision to become a celebrant was inspired by her son’s difficulty finding a local celebrant for his own wedding. After becoming registered in 2025, she set out to provide couples across south west Queensland and northern New South Wales with a reliable and locally based service.

Starting from $900, this personalised package is designed for weddings with more than 50 guests. Michelle can include your story in the ceremony, greet guests as they arrive and help you explore additional ceremony ideas.

Package prices include travel within 100 km of Michelle’s home in Goondiwindi. Additional travel is charged per kilometre. A basic accommodation fee of $120 applies when an overnight stay is required.

Michelle Sheridan is a primary teacher and part-time authorised marriage celebrant who is passionate about helping couples create meaningful and memorable wedding ceremonies. Yes absolutely. I think a face to face meeting either in person or via a Face Time chat is essential to find out whether I am the right celebrant for you.
Yes there is some essential paperwork to do before your big day. The Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) needs to be lodged with a celebrant at least 30 days before your wedding day. I can talk you through this process and help make it easier. Other forms can be filled in as we go.
Absolutely. Every ceremony I create is tailored to reflect your unique relationship, values, personalities, and vision for your wedding day. From your love story to personalised vows, rituals, readings, and special moments, your ceremony will be uniquely yours.
My fees depend on the type and level of customisation required. I offer transparent pricing with no hidden costs. During our first meeting, I'll provide a detailed quote based on your specific needs and explain exactly what's included. I also will give you an idea of any extra travel fees.
As soon as you've chosen your date and venue is always a good time to also secure a celebrant. Popular dates, especially during spring and autumn, can book out well in advance. Many couples secure their celebrant 12 to 18 months before their wedding.
Of course. Personal vows are a wonderful way to make your ceremony meaningful and memorable. If you'd like help getting started, I can provide examples, prompts, and guidance while ensuring the required legal wording is included. I include lots of hints and ideas in my wedding planner booklet.
Absolutely. Weddings are about celebrating the people and relationships that matter most to you. I can incorporate children, family members, friends, and even well-behaved furry family members into your ceremony. I like it when things get creative!
While not essential, many couples find a rehearsal helpful in building confidence and understanding how the ceremony will flow. I can discuss rehearsal options and help decide what's best for your wedding. It is often difficult for me to attend a rehearsal given distance of travel but you can certainly have one without me!
