I enjoy meeting people and getting to know them. I also enjoy travelling. What better way of combining my two interests as a regional celebrant interacting with people at such a happy time in their lives! I have a warm, friendly manner and love a laugh. After a long career working overseas in several countries, I respect cultural diversity and believe in equality for all. My personal background is of mixed cultural heritage.

FAQ

Do you provide a PA system?

Included in the price package is a portable PA system with micophones and Bluetooth capability for music to be played during the ceremony.

Do you offer a wedding ceremony rehearsal?

Included is the price is one rehearsal at a time suitable to the wedding party and celebrant.

Do you draft a wedding ceremony including readings and vows?

My services include drafting and assisting with wedding ceremonies in either a traditional, simple or informal style. As well, I provide sample readings and vows for a couple to choose from or get inspiration to write their own vows.

Do you assist with the legal paperwork and registration of marriage?

Yes, all legal paperwork (Notice of Intended Marriage and No Impediment to Marriage documentation) is explained and assistance provided at every step of the way. I will register your marriage within 14 days of the ceremony to the relevant State or Territory Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages.

Are you willing to travel interstate and intrastate?

Yes. I have conducted ceremonies at various locations in New South Wales, Canberra and the Gold Coast with upcoming weddings in Lithgow and MacLaren Vale, South Australia. Additional fees will be incurred for an economy airfare or costs for driving plus one night's accommodation.

Janice was lovely and considerate, she provided us with so much advice and some really great suggestions. It was because of her we allocated a section of the ceremony to hear from our grandparents, this ended up being the most special part of the day for us and even made our photographer cry! Janice made all of the admin around the wedding super easy, and was great at taking on board our feedback to really design a ceremony that represented us best.

Janice was a true professional conducting our legal ceremony. She listened to our needs and wants and executed it perfectly. She was there every step of the way to make sure the ceremony ran seamlessly and to answer any questions we had. Her communication was amazing and she arranged face time meetings to run through everything (we hired her services from NSW and were thrilled she was willing to travel regionally). We had a great experience working with Janice. We chatted about what we did and didn't want to include in our ceremony, and particularly the general vibe we were aiming for. Janice took all this on board, and also gave us plenty of suggestions (we hadn't been to many weddings before, so it was good to hear some more ideas and options!) She then sent us a first draft of the ceremony and we were able to edit that directly with any changes we wanted. It was a very easy and relaxed process, particularly due to Janice's professional and warm approach. The day before our wedding we had a rehearsal on site which was great, especially as we came up with three alternate plans to mitigate different weather scenarios. Janice was very well prepared and we were pleased to have her as part of our celebration.

What advice could you share with the groom the night before his wedding?

My advice to a groom is to spend time on the night before his wedding with his family and close friends - his last as a single man. The groom should relax about the wedding - and to remember he will be making a personal vow to the person he loves - he should not worry about 'public speaking'. It is a promise from one person to another. It is okay to show his emotions whether he crys or laughs. Lastly, I would recommend not drinking too much the night before..... he does not want to have a hang over.
