OVERVIEW
“I wanted to give you a big thank you for conducting our ceremony. You were fabulous - controlled, friendly, able to be flexible on the day, and generally very reassuring. You helped set the scene by working through all the paperwork in an organised way, very patiently drafting and re-drafting the actual ceremony and giving us pointers and hints to make sure this was a ceremony that we wanted. Thank you very much.” Gerry

About
Hi. I love working with people. I have been a Registered Nurse for over 45 years. Throughout all those years of nursing I have had the great privilege of meeting so many wonderful individuals and working with them to achieve their goals. As as celebrant, I would love to form the same bond with you as we work together to create the wedding ceremony just right for you.

We will work on this together.
When we meet I will ask you what is important for you both to include, and I will craft a ceremony to accommodate your wishes. There are some words that must be said by me, and also by you, to ensure all the legal requirements are covered, but other than that, the ceremony is yours.
I can provide lots of examples for you to consider, and we can redraft the ceremony as many times as you like so that you are completley comfortable.
We will go through the ceremony in detail so you can clarify any issues, and we can have a rehearsal to include the whole wedding party if you wish to.
Of course!
Involving them can make your ceremony even more special. Your children could read a poem or a reading, they could light a candle or help to tie the ribbons in a hand fasting ceremony.
Even little children can be involved - I have conducted more than one wedding where a baby has been the ring bearer.
It's all up to you, and I am confident we can make it work.
That's my job!
At our first meeting we will start the process by lodging the Notice Of Intended Marriage. This document must be completed no earlier than 18 months and no less than one month prior to the ceremony.
You will each need to provide proof of identity, such as a birth certificate, passport or drivers licence; as well as a certificate of divorce or death of a spouse if applicable.
Prior to the marriage you will need to complete a certificate of No Legal Impediment, to confirm you are legally able to be married.
After the ceremony you will need to sign the Certificates of Marriage; and I will lodge all the necessary paperwork with the Department of Births Deaths and Marriages on your behalf.
Don't worry, I will make it all happen.
