Hi Lynda,

To make the bride-to-be feel extra special and take away any extra pressure from her wedding day, we generally find that with our Bridal Showers and Hens Parties each guest with pay for themselves. For the bride-to-be, her family, bridal party or all guests will then split the cost to cover her. In some cases, for those that cover the bride, this may be a nice gesture instead of a gift.

I wish you all the best, whether you are organising this for yourself or someone special. We are more than happy to help answer any other questions you may have (and take as much pressure off you as we can)!

Yours delightfully,

Sarah from Day Delights

First congratulations on organising one of the most fun days for the Bride before the big day.  From my experience it is everybody attending the event that pays there own share.  Example.  The workshop costs $700 and 15 women attend, they each pay $46.00.

The Bridesmaid who is in charge of the day does a head count of how many people are attenting and then each pay there share.

And then sometimes it is the bride herself whom organises the event, and then everyone pays there share.  It just depends on each Hens Day.

My next Hens Party, the one bridesmaid is paying for the entire workshop.  Everyone is different and will work out there own situations.

With the Blissrising Tantra Hens Party I take a 50% deposit and then the rest on the day.  This is great as numbers may change before the big event.

All the best in your planning on the wonderful Hens Party.

Hi Lynda!

Congratulations on planning a fabulous Bridal Shower!

The norm in Australia is for each guest to make payment for themselves when attending a hens or bridal shower event. Sometimes the bride-to-be herself pays her per-head cost, and sometimes the bridal party chips in to cover her cost.

Hope this answers your query.

Kindest regards

Nelson

Hi Lynda! Great question - and congratulations on planning a fabulous Bridal Shower! The norm in Australia is for each guest to make payment for themselves when attending a hens or bridal shower event. Sometimes the bride-to-be herself pays her per-head cost, and sometimes the bridal party chips in to cover her cost. Also extras such as decorations, a novelty cake, gift bags or invite costs are usually split between the bridal party, or the family of the bride so that she can have those little extra touches on the day! I would recommend always getting a realistic idea of numbers prior to paying your deposit, or perhaps even asking each guest for a small deposit to secure their place, with the final payment due at a later date - as deposit's are often non-refundable and you don't want to be the MOH who has to pay for the guests that may pull out at the last minute! My Ultimate Hens has lots of bridal shower and hens ideas and we would love to help answer any more of your questions - best of luck with your planning! Tash and the My Ultimate Hens team x
