Hi Elise

Classic black in a lounge suit or tuxedo is always a great backdrop for the softer colours, you can then accent with blush accessories ie. pocket square or flower.

A personal favourite would be a rich blue like vivid navy, as these two colours go hand in hand and make for beautiful photo opportunities.

Best of luck

Hi Elise,

Instead of telling you what to wear, I would like to invite you and your groomsmen in for a Groom Styling Session where we can show you what different combinations will look like. After all, until you actually see something, you cant say if you like it or not - your eyes don't lie !

If you come in for a styling session, we will show you all the options that fit your vision and most importantly, your budget.

We have won the ABIA award of Best Grooms Fashion AUSTRALIA - this was award that was voted for by customers. Please feel free to read our reviews as customers are the one source that you can trust .... they will tell you if they are happy or not.

As you will have found us through Easy Weddings, if you book in for a Styling Session (7 days by appointment) your groom will receive a lovely gift from us.

Regards

Lisa

Hi Elise,

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

I would suggest a light grey or a navy blue (depending on your fiance's skin colour).

At the Suit Concierge we also make custom made pocket squares, ties or bowties to match with the brides or bridesmaids dresses.

We would be happy to show you the suggested suit and tie/pocket square fabrics at our store. Feel free to book in a free consultation with us on our website.

Thanks, Hemant

Elise, If your dress is a blush colour and you are wearing it. I would suggest it is because the colour suits you. I advise applying this theory to the grooms outfit. Find a colour tone that suits his complexion. Most suit colours will match a blush colour, and the styling given by everyone seems to be suitable. That said, keep an eye on what the styles coming are. You're getting married in mid 2018, colours change, and styles as well. Do not buy/hire the suits too early as you may get a colour that may date.

Find a colour that suits HIM, not what looks good in a magazine, or recommended by a sales person. Speak to a stylist. They will be able to advise on colour tone to match skin, hair, eyes, and other features. Hope this helps.

Hi Elise,

There are a range of colours that would be suitable to match your blush wedding dress and will depend on whether you want your dress to contrast or complement your fiancées suit in the photographs. If you require more of a contrast then suitings in Navy, French blue, Charcoal or Black would be ideal. Otherwise if you want to complement rather than contrast then colours in the Silver grey or Medium grey would also be perfect. I have used all the colours mentioned for previous weddings but choose carefully how you want your images in the photography to convey how you want to look on your very important day. It is also important to pick a colour that will look flattering on your fiancée.

Hi Elise,
Blush is a very versatile colour that can be worn with most Grey, Navy and Black tones. DÉCLIC would recommend tones from a bright, fresh navy through to indigo.

Hi Elise,

I would suggest doing an iridescent navy or navy (not just basic navy). You want a navy fabric that when in sunlight it reflects variations of blue.

Tailor On The Road has just the fabric needed and can tailor a suit to the groom and groomsmen for your May wedding. Book a free consultation to view the options I refer to.
