Thoughts on how to coordinate outfits when having two grooms?

Just For Him

Thats a great question.  The most important thing is to ensure that each Grooms personality and taste shines through.  Just as a bride and groom have selected the outfit of their dreams, so should both of the Grooms.

If they want to be 'similar but different' they could wear either the same colour or style of outfit but then make it their own by selecting their choice of accessories. One may want to wear a bow-tie while the other wears a tie, or they may both wear the same suit but in a different colours....  It really doesnt matter what each wears so long as they feel amazing in the outfit of their choice.

At Just For Him, we work with couples that are getting married specifically to turn their vision into reality, and if they dont have a vision, we are able to show them different options until they see what they like.

Every person is different - what is right for one person, isnt for another.

It doesnt matter who is getting married, they dont have to wear outfits that look alike.

Another factor to consider is the location of the wedding as this may dictate how formal the outfits should be.

Feel free to phone us on 9630 6000 if you would like to come in for a free Groom styling session.

What colour suits for the boys in the bridal party?

We have 2 bridesmaids wearing pale ‘cornflower’ blue for a modern boho beach wedding, we have 4 groomsmen and the groom wants a blue suit but I don’t know what kind of blue, and if it will clash with the girls dressed.. I think a clean white shirt would be best, but don’t know what colour ties. The flowers r natives pinks grey and green.

Just For Him

What one person likes another doesnt and so everyone can tell you what colour you should wear but until you see it, you wont know if you like it or not.

My suggestion would be to book in for a Free Groom Styling Session at Just For Him.   Bring one of the bridesmaids dresses with you and then you can see how it looks next to all the different options that have been suggested to you.

One option that has not been suggested is for the groom to wear a 'Sand' coloured suit teamed with a Blue tie / accessories. As blue is currently the 'in' colour, many of your guests may be wearing blue so if the Groom / Groomsmen want to stand out, the lighter Sand tones will not only be a point of difference but it also suits the beach and boho theme.

Feel free to phone us on 9630 6000 to book in for a Free Groom Styling Session - your eyes will tell you what looks good - no one else can !!

Hi looking to suit up groom and groomsmen for a beach wedding around the Wollongong area?

Description for what I am looking for is white/light blue top with tanned or blue pants with suspenders and a bow tie. Beachy look. I live around the Wollongong area and looking to get something for Sunday. Hope you can help!

Just For Him

There are so many options that would fit your vision and so its important to see what is available.  Dont focus on a particular brand as there are heaps to choose from.

If you dont find what you are after in Wollongong, give us a call on 9630 6000 and we can arrange a time to do a Groom Styling Session for you.

Sometimes what you have in your mind, does not look as good when you actually see it, or your vision may not suit the body shape or colouring of your groom and groomsmen,  so its important to see it all put together and on them prior to just buying items independantly.

JFH opens by appointment on weekends and after hours to fit in with you. - We'd love to help .....

What's the protocol for father of bride and father of groom in terms of outfits/dress code?

Just For Him

I could spend time telling you all about different suits and outfits that they could wear but in a nutshell, the Father of the Bride and Groom should be dressed as formal as the wedding party.

Once the formality has been decided upon, the dads can then figure out what they should wear - a Tuxedo, Lounge suit or something even more relaxed.

A nice touch is for their accessories to compliment their partner or in the case of the FOB - the bride.

Just For Him offers styling sessions for Dads as well as the Groom and Groomsmen.

Help needed with the men's suits

We are planning on mixed peacock colours for our bridesmaids ranging from turquoise to navy, for the boys, a navy suit and my groom will wear a dinner suit in the same colour. We both really love the idea of a double breasted waistcoat, but are stumped on which colour to put him in. We are considering putting the groomsmen in paisley waistcoats and ties matching their bridesmaids' dresses, but then where do we go with the groom? I'm thinking it could look amazing or it might be a bit much? Please help!!

Just For Him

Hi Deborah

I would love to answer your questions and the easiest way to do this is to invite you and your Groom to come for a Groom Styling Session. For the last 4 years we (Just For Him) have won the title of Best Grooms Fashion in NSW and in April we won the grand title of Best Grooms Wear Australia. What this means is, if you come to Just For Him, you know you are being dressed by the best !

When you come in for a styling session, we will listen to what your vision is and most importantly, what your budget is that you want us to work with. We will then show you different options. If you don't know what you want, we will assist you as first and foremost, we are stylists. We are not about flogging suits, we are all about making the boys 'red carpet ready'. We have an in house Italian tailor (with years of experience) who will ensure the perfect fit.

Essentially, like the other suppliers, I can give you lots of ideas of what the boys should wear, but its much easier if we show you the total look all together as you will know if you like it or not when you see it - your eyes don't lie.

If you respond to this message and book in for a Styling Session ( 7 days by appointment) we will have a lovely gift for the groom when he come in.

Please read the reviews about Just For Him ..... Customers don't lie, let them tell you about their experience at JFH

All the best - Lisa

What colour suit will go with my blush wedding dress?

Just For Him

Hi Elise,

Instead of telling you what to wear, I would like to invite you and your groomsmen in for a Groom Styling Session where we can show you what different combinations will look like. After all, until you actually see something, you cant say if you like it or not - your eyes don't lie !

If you come in for a styling session, we will show you all the options that fit your vision and most importantly, your budget.

We have won the ABIA award of Best Grooms Fashion AUSTRALIA - this was award that was voted for by customers. Please feel free to read our reviews as customers are the one source that you can trust .... they will tell you if they are happy or not.

As you will have found us through Easy Weddings, if you book in for a Styling Session (7 days by appointment) your groom will receive a lovely gift from us.

should the groom have his suit jacket on or off during first dance?

My partner and I were having a chat and we got stumped on whether he should or shouldn't wear his suit jacket during our first dance. If he does will he look really stiff but then if he doesn't will he look less formal? He's not wearing a vest either so it'll just be a tie and white shirt

Just For Him

Hi Lorena

It really depends on how formal your wedding is and how active your dance is. If he does wear his jacket, ensure that it is not buttoned up as this will restrict movement. If the groom is wearing a vest it looks fine if the jacket is off.

At the end of the day - this is your big day - no one else's so do whatever you want and enjoy yourselves :)

If the brides dress is ivory, do the groom and groomsmen need to wear ivory shirts?

Or are white shirts okay?

Just For Him

Hi Deanna

Firstly, Just For Him were voted best Grooms Fashion NSW for the last 4 years and Best Grooms Wear AUSTRALIA 2107 so we do know what we are doing when we give groom styling advice. My advice - they should wear white shirts.

The white shirt looks the best in photographs and if an Ivory Tie etc are worn, they will show up much better on a white base.

Instead of trying to imagine what looks the best, I would suggest you see both options for yourself. We can tell you what we think but at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter what anyone says, it should be what you like. You need to see it for yourself as your eyes don't lie ..... You will know as soon as you see the two options what you prefer.

All the best

What colour groomsmen with navy blue bridesmaids - beach/rustic theme?

Just For Him

Hi Jaymie-Lee, there are several options available to you. One key piece of advise I would offer is - The Groom should compliment the Bride while the Groomsmen should compliment the Bridesmaids. All the boys can wear the same colour or the Groom can wear a different shade to ensure he stands out. If the girls are in Navy Blue, the boys could wear a light grey or sand coloured suit with Navy accessories or they could wear a Navy suit to compliment the girls. Keep in mind that they don't have to all wear suits, you may want a less formal look which could include Vests, Chinos, Jackets, Suspenders .... the options are endless ! Instead of trying to picture how it would look, I would suggest booking in for a Free Styling session ( phone 9630 6000 ) and we can demonstrate how the different options would look. You can then make your decision on what you like the best.
